I begin each trip with eeny, meeny, miny, moe to choose a lure. Works 60% everytime of 14% of my trips.

I could survive with a medium spinning rod and a Shakey Head around docks on your lake.

I only worry about things I have control over and that ain't much.

Night fishing great. Have a headlight with fresh batteries as it'll always be pointed where you're looking. I only turn my headlight on when netting a fish. Go slow and always assume nobody can see you from their boats. Fish bigger baits on beefier gear because the big girls feed in the dark.

Our grass only grows out to 17' and we have Spots and LM, not SM. But when fishing our humps a 3/16 Swinghead Sukushi Bug/Ned, T - Rigged Hellgrammite, T - Rigged Craw, and of course a Shakey Head all produce.

But it was still more fun than a work day. Right?

I drink two things, water & coffee. I drink 40 - 60 oz of coffee a day and six to eight 16.9 oz bottles of water daily. Since I've started drinking coffee, being the diuretic it is, the 2 - 4 kidney stones I pass every year have been smaller, so I'm not changing a thing.

I throw my big swimbaits with a Abu Beast 60 HS and a Tranx 400A and like them both. The Beast cast a bit farther but the Tranx is a tad bit more compact and both are overkill for what I throw.

Oh I love some snap rings. Those jokers can really fly to not have wings.

I'm primarily a Red Label user with a couple BC'ers spooled with Invisx. The most notable difference I've seen is cost.

I run 45" Terrovas on my 1436 & 1448 jons. I fish in wind/waves often and when the props out of the water it no good. 25 hp on a 1436 ? I bet it ain't Way2slow

Fished 3a - 10a this morning and caught two 18 - 20' deep on rocks on a T - Rigged beaver and two on the Bull Wake after daylight.

I threw JB's on my Stradics to begin with and since trying them on my Aldebaran MGL 50's, I ain't going back.

If my Terrova with SpotLock breaks in the morning I'll order one tomorrow afternoon.
