Do You Second Guess Yourself?
I set my phone alarm to 10 or 10:30 am and when goes off I'll have a quick bite and a bottle of water(3 - 5 minutes). At that point if I'm catching I'll keep on, if not I'll make a course correction. Sometimes it's a major change but no second guessing myself. I finally figured out some years ago that they don't always want eat what I want to catch them on.

Is it a skunk if you hook but lose them?
If I get a picture of the fish it counts.

First time for everything.
I caught a large bull frog on a Spro popping frogs several years ago.

Scary fishing moments
Wild animal close enough to touch with my fishing rod is getting shot. I had 3 otters come after me and they're now permanently on the list as a target of opportunity.

Caught 4 Bass and 3 Hybrids yesterday. I thought they'd the on a feeding frenzy with the severe weather we had coming in today. I was wrong and struggled for my seven fish, but I'm good with that.

Poison ivy
Looks like Cooties to me. You touch any girls lately? ? I got Poison Ivy on my wrist between my shirt and gloves a few years ago and in three days it had made up to my arm pits. That was while using $40 oz prescription cream that clearly didn't work. Then I tried Solarcaine Medicated First Aid spray and in 1.5 days it was gone.

Those nasty ticks.
My wife's been battling Chronic Lyme disease for over 7 years. She's went through two series of antibiotics injected directly to her heart via a PIC line. My FIL and sister got it and were treated successfully. Lyme disease is definitely here in Ga. along with Alpha - Gal, tick paralysis, RMSF, and EHRLICHIOSIS.

Fished the Nanoace/Aldebaran all day and it allowed me to throw a Super Fluke Jr. and a 3" Bass Assassin with a 2/0 Gamakatsu EWG approximately 30 yards. It feels like more of a Medium light power to me. I caught 24 on it with the big LM going 4 lb 13 oz and the big Spot an even 3 lbs and it handle them well. I like it.

how to rig first boat (carolina skiff j14)
1 - Decking it will work fine 2 - I've had my decked 14 x 48 Jon on many lakes & rivers(Blackshear, Eufaula, Santee, Cooper, Ocmulgee) in heavy winds. BE SMART and slowly learn what you and your boat can handle. In a smaller boat adding a second person makes a major difference in rough conditions. 3 - I would go with the max HP according to your data plate. You're gonna add weight when you deck it so you'll need the power on bigger waters. I'd also suggest going with a 24 volt TM with SpotLock . I ran a 40 lb for many years and when I upgraded to an 80 lb it allowed me to fish in winds and currents I previously couldn't and I never run out of battery. 4 - Plan for all the storage(tackle, life jackets, etc) under you deck that you can as the CS typically have very little storage. A 750 GPM bilge pump is priceless. 5 - The CS is a little heavier than aluminum which helps in the winds. But if you plan on dragging it across alot log jams on the rivers I'd probably look at aluminum.

Pros and Multiple rods
I had 4 BCers with hard JB's on them last week and I will in the morning. One spooled with 8 lb FC(1/4 oz Rapala X - Rap or #9 Rip Stop), 10 lb FC ( 1/2 oz MB 110 shallow or deep), 12 lb FC( 1oz MB Kanata) and one with 11 lb Mono(Damiki Slim Jack) to fish above shallow grass. It's not unusual for me to have 3 BCers rigged with soft JB's also. I'm definitely not a Pro, I fish for fun.

Anyone else tired of supply chain issues?
Take your kayak, K, MGL, DC, and go fish. You can fix inventory problems from the water as good as you can standing in The Lodge.

Favorite shimano baitcaster?
Favorite is my Curado MGL 70's. Most versatile for me my Tranx 400A but it's a struggle with weightless plastics on the current rod.? I do have two Aldebaran 50s that I haven't spent anytime with yet.

Scary fishing moments
Out bowfishing one Summer evening after work I got blown down the lake by a downburst that I was told reached 91 mph by a guy that worked at the power plant on the lake. I do know it pushed me much faster than the 31 mph my boat would run especially going sideways. It passed and after 10 minutes of running my bilge pump I shot more fish.

Shimano SLX DC vs Curado 150MGL
Another vote for the MGL's. My DC is OK but I'll never need to try another.
