  1. I rinse mine off at boat ramps as often as possible and just let them air dry.
  2. Welcome IowaBassman.
  3. Don't play with treble hooked baits while soaking that tub as I'm sure they've got you on blood thinners.? Glad you're home sir.
  4. That'd be fun on BFS.
  5. I'll lower at light colored bait down into the water until I can't see it and compare it to my rods length for an idea of the clarity. Some of our lakes water clarity won't make it to the first eye and one is well past an 8' rod at times.

    Welcome
  7. Catt, I'd go straight to a true Cardiologist. Glad to hear you're stable.
  8. I've shot a pile of them and even with a 2,000 grain Muzzy tipped arrow in them they fight. Bowfin on the left side.
  9. A Shimano with a MGL as part of it's name will make casting weightless Super Flukes a breeze. Always fish Flukes.
  10. Set and forget here. Only time the side plate is opened is for oiling or cleaning.
  11. New rod for my Aldebaran MGL 50
  12. That fish is clearly on steroids. ? Wow!
  13. A few cold nights and a cool rain dropped the water temp and moved them but I was able to hook up with nine.
  14. Yes sir it's a Black Creek Tactical suppressor.
  15. After 44 years I rely on my previous experiences on the water which comes with time. Nothing wrong with taking time to learn specific baits but don't pigeon hole yourself by fishing a bait in an area that calls for something else. Example: My beaver pond is shallow(3.5' avg) and weedy so a big SB or JB is not right tool for the job.
  16. True
  17. Shallow water fishing reels is taking it to the extreme. I like it.?
  18. Yes. Ruger 300 BLK. Amazing accurate with supers and subs for an off the shelf gun. The deer and pigs I've shown it to weren't fans of it though.
  19. The 200 K is a fine reel but IMO will not handle light baits like the MGL reels. I own 1 200K and 3 70 MGLs and have fished Neds on a 1/10 and 1/16 Micro jigs with a trailer on the MGL. As PBBrandon said above the 150 MGL is what I'd grab for an all around reel.
  20. Try to hit the bed by 12 -1am on fishing days up at 3:30 - 4am. I'll have a short lunch break 3 - 5 minutes and will lay on the deck of my boat and get 9 - 14 seconds of a nap. Home by 5 - 7pm where I'll fall into a PFC(Post Fishing Coma) after eating and will/can sleep for 12 - 14 hours or until my wife get tired of dealing with my Dachshunds thimble sized bladder and slaps me awake.
  21. My Costas, sun gaiter, pliers, scale, water, Skoal Mint Xtra Long Cut, and phone to document the catch.
  22. Accessories would be a hydraulic back brace and a Tackle Warehouse credit card. Name would be CMF = Captain Monkey Feeder.
