  1. No lakes in particular just beautiful down there, and water any way you travel.
  2. Never had to explain it to my wife, thank God! She always says bills are paid and I work hard for my money, then go for it!
  3. I like the Picasso rusty squealer I believe it is called. I use it both ways, but I throw them mostly with the skirt. Ohio Pro is also one of my favorite brands
  4. Yeah but that journey is sooooooo worth it!!!!?
  5. You aren't lying when you say they get hammered, our lakes are mud puddles compared to most others around the country. I have no problem telling folks where and how I caught them either, but that was the way I was raised. But I also understand the guys here in Ohio that keep their info to themselves because they have worked hard to find those spots.

  9. Not worth it in the end!! ?
  10. Hey that is all us Northerners have to look forward to at this time of year!!! ?
  11. When I first got into baitcasters my buddy sold me a right handed Abu for cheap to get started. I fished that way for a season, then realized it didn't feel natural. The reason being is I have always had the handle on my spinning reels for as long as I have been fishing, so why not the baitcasters. Best decision I have ever made switching to left hand retrieve on my casting reels, better hooksets for sure. He says I am weird but I believe he is the weird one since he uses his spinning reels the exact same way as I do!!! haha
  12. Yeah me neither!?
  13. Hey guys my little brother lives near Syracuse, he asked me the other day if I wanted to come up end of May or early June next year and go fish Cayuga with him. Neither of us has ever fished it before, so wondering if anyone has any pointers. Where to start, how to fish it that time of year, maybe some baits to try? I know like most lakes there it is full of vegetation and the north end of the lake is best for bass!
  14. Yeah and I believe we don't know the half of his collection!! haha
  15. Yes I am a Tackleaholic! Most likely won't ever change as long as I have the money to do so! I am guessing the guy you are talking about with the rooms full of cranks might be Epic Eric? That man has more tackle by himself than most of us combined has! haha
  16. Don't miss the firewood cutting at all!? Hated those weekends when dad would say let's go get some firewood!!
  17. I like 60° for dragging and just hopping slightly, 90° if I am ripping it off the bottom. Don't know if it is just me but feel like dragging it with a 90 it gets hung up more, but could just be me.
  18. Yes fly fish a small creek here in Ohio for smallies, it is a blast. The water is so clear you can see them running after you set the hook on them, had one run right between my legs and try to tie me up with my fly line. Talk about a fat guy dancing trying to get out of that mess without ending up in the water.?
  19. I am in, line up is Feider Welcher Cox Foutz Talley
  20. Looks good and should work! I just make my wife hold it while I am spooling mine! Haha
  21. Nope already have a couple more combos planned for this winter. Thought I was good but figured out I wasn't! Haha
  22. Beer Drinking! My friends say I am an expert at it!?
  23. I am sure they are great rods, but they are not in the lower priced lineups as far as I know of.
