I buy lots of stuff I probably shouldn't! But that is part of the fun of fishing for me, spring, summer, and fall are fishing days. Winters are for buying gear for me!! If I don't use something in a years time and don't think I will ever use it, I give it away, so the stuff I didn't use is still not a wasted bait or money.

Don't know why they would be giving you a hard time, kids these days are buying them like that for hundreds of dollars! You just paid less for the same style!

First of all thanks for your service! Second you have to look at it a little differently I believe. Instead of how many fish you catch, maybe turn it into about the chase and figuring them out. That is my stress relief from regular life, when I am out there that is all I think about, how to find them and get them to bite. Also as the others have said, enjoy that time with your father, today marks 21 years since my dad died, and wish I could have another fishing trip with him all the time. Don't give up though, this sport as trying as it is sometimes has a way of making life better for most of us in one way or another!!!

You will also be surprised at the room it has also! My brother and I and our guide all fished off of it comfortably. Guide and I on the front deck and my brother off the back deck. My brother and I are not small men! haha

Only been on one once, two days on a guides boat at Chickamauga. The first day was pretty choppy and I think it handled the waves very well. I get sea sickness sometimes and it didn't seem to bother me at all! Limited experience but that is my thoughts on it!

I was hoping to get some recommendations for 3.5" tubes? I was just wondering what everyone else fishes for tube baits?

I don't know if it is really jealousy, think it is more envy. At least it is for me anyways, I envy the folks that are retired. But those folks worked to get where they are today, so congrats to them. I hope to be there some day! People that get jealous of people who have worked their whole lives to retire the way the want to are just miserable people.

Well I don't know who these guys are or where they are fishing in the north that it is so great in the summer, but I would like to find out. Oh yeah I live in Ohio where most of the bass fishing sucks! haha

For me it is simple, getting rid of stress. The world and life isn't always easy and being out on the boat with either a buddy or my wife there is nothing better to me. Laughs and fun instead of stress and worrying.

Never owned a Sierra series, have three of the original Kaden series rods. Great rods, very sensitive and very light. I for one wish they would have kept the split handles on them but I guess I was in the minority on that one! Haha. If the Kaden series was still split grip I would have no problem buying more of them.

I hate that disease! No matter what kind it is, never fun watching someone suffer from it. I hope and pray he can continue to fight it and hope some miracle happens and he can beat this. Just don't know how much this poor man has left in the tank..
