  1. Nice job sir! Nothing like getting kids involved in the sport we all love, that may have never had the chance to do so! I second the good human being comment!
  2. Well you could resell those to the Erie guys here in Ohio and become a millionaire! ??
  3. I just use the lead knockers so nothing special for me!
  4. Nope not gonna happen! haha Ohio lakes are too small on a regular weekend, and I don't have the patience to handle stupid people! haha
  5. I will see what I can do!! haha?
  6. Awesome when a plan works out! Why didn't you just lip that pickerel? ?
  7. You have to be a line watcher! Any tick or movement of line from side to side, set the hook!!
  8. Or anywhere other than Lake Erie in Ohio!!! haha
  9. I am getting my rear handed to me this season!!!!!!
  10. Hookset not as hard? Never heard of such a thing!? Let er rip Tater Chip!!!!!
  11. I would use straight braid if it was me! It cuts the weeds and grass when fighting fish and setting the hook. The fish most likely won't be line shy with that much grass and weeds! I fish a bunch of old strip pit ponds and the three rods I use there have straight braid, for the exact reasons I stated. They are full of grass all the way to the top in some of them, that braid cuts right through the grass and weeds.
  12. God I hope not! He will definitely make sure Zoom baits are not made anymore! He wants to control the whole industry with his crappy products and charge more money for them!
  13. I was fishing mine on a 7:5.1 and switched to a 6:8.1 because I felt I was retrieving the baits too fast. May have just been in my head but I feel better about fishing a chatterbait on the 6.
  14. Farmers tan here and legs to the knees! I wouldn't take my shirt off, the world isn't ready for that!?
  15. I haven't got to go out yet, too much crap to do around the house this spring. Finally got it all done and the weather turns back into nonsense here in Ohio.
  16. Agree with MN from what I have heard Lews has awesome customer service, get in contact with them direct.
  17. Where abouts in PA if you don't mind me asking?
  18. Every bait that you named you are confident in will work up this direction, in all the colors you have listed. Don't overthink it, just go fish how you do anywhere else and you will be fine.
  19. Just remember that if the water you are wading in Ohio runs through private property then the owner of that property owns the river bottom. They can and most likely will get you for trespassing on their property if you get caught. Just giving you a heads up!
  20. Take the boat out and just drive it, get used to it. Jump up on the front deck and drop the trolling motor and just drive around with it. It will take a while to get used to all of it, I have had a boat for 3 years now and still getting used to it. You don't have to learn it all right away, it is a learn as you go type thing. Get a push pole and have a couple paddles in the boat for pushing out of stuff. That aluminum boat is a tank, I have one and have had it in a few places that it most likely shouldn't have been and it did just fine. It is going to get scratched and dinged, just adds character. I was the same way when I got my boat, and mine was already dinged up so don't feel bad, but as others have said just get out there and fish. It will get frustrating, but just remember to calm down and enjoy the experience. You will get better each time out with the boat control and the nerves will go away little by little. It is a tool so use it as a tool, don't be afraid to use it!!! Oh and most of all, GO HAVE FUN!!!!!
  21. Who did you beat to death to get some?? Can't get any here in Ohio, all the Erie boys suck them up as soon as they hit the shelves!
  22. This is how we do it also, just making sure there isn't something one or the other has forgotten that might get us in a pinch!
  23. I am right there with you! I support them all, they put their lives on the line everyday to make our communities safer. So thank you to all of them!!!
  24. Wife and I both had it in January, I have had Bronchitis that was worse than that, my wife had every symptom they had on the list. Like the others said you will most likely be just fine but it affects everyone differently.
