  1. Oh I know that man! Just hoping the guide gives me a little more of a chance to whack a few!
  2. I am headed down that way in May, first time fishing south of the Ohio River in my life. I hired a guide for both days I will be down there fishing, I can't figure out my own fisheries here in Ohio half the time. haha Hopefully my guide has it dialed in while I am there!!
  3. Look at you with all the out of the box thinking! I may have to steal these ideas!!! Look at you with all the out of the box thinking! I may have to steal these ideas!!!
  4. You guys with ice still are better men than I!!! I would be a full blown alcoholic or just off myself!!!
  5. Not at my local shop, they have three walls about 30' long with nothing but Zoom products, and every color that most can think of!
  6. I don't notice the difference between them and my Dobyns, but maybe it is just me! They aren't as balanced as the Dobyns, but to me that is what sets Dobyns apart from the other rods I have used over the years. I also like the fact that Cashion is built right here in the USA!
  7. I have three of the Kaden series from the testing phase, I really like them. They are sensitive, well balanced and very light. The only other series I have is the Fury line, and the Kaden series is a whole lot better which it should be. I don't know about the Kaden series since they changed all of them from split grip to full grip, haven't gotten my hands on one to see the difference. I have started to replace all my Dobyns rods with Cashion ICON rods now, the Icons are very nice and extremely light and sensitive! Those are the rods I have experience with, hopefully that helps some!
  8. Bunch of pansies!!!!!!? Starting to act like big pro athletes! haha
  9. Zoom brush hog, Zoom Z Craw
  10. She is hooked for life! Once you feel that tugging at the end of the line you always want that feeling!
  11. Oh just skip it across there! You will be good! haha
  12. Those three are definitely not bad ones to follow to learn a thing or two!
  13. Where did you go wrong in raising him! SMH! haha just messing around!
  14. Early in the year when the water is colder, I usually try to fish later in the day so the water warms up a little bit.
  15. One lake I fish has a lot of docks, I use a 7'1" medium spinning rod with a 2500 size reel on it! 10# hi vis braid to fluorocarbon leader, I use wacky and Texas rig, depends on what the fish are acting like. Try to get it to the furthest piling back and work my way back out to the boat.
  16. Beaver style baits, not a lot of action but the glide usually sets the fish off in cold water!
  17. Hey hey don't be blaming me for your overstock!!! haha? I also have an overstock of them! You are welcome for that stock pile though!!!?
  18. All I got to say after A-Jay put the pic of a certain persuasion tool there, YOU BOYS ARE ON YOUR OWN!!!!!! ?
  19. I agree with MN Fisher on everything he said!! Feel that would be the best use of the gear you have there!!!
  20. This is one thing I still have to keep telling myself! I have only owned my boat for a couple years now so I got overly excited and started buying stuff for every technique that I seen others fishing, that just got way too overwhelming and started to stress me out. Had me questioning if I really even knew how to fish like I thought I did. I realized this winter that I need to do just what you wrote and learn my lakes and then add different styles of fishing down the road later! Definitely need to remind myself of the KISS thing all the time! haha
  21. 5" Senkos in black blue flake, green pumpkin magic, and the green pumpkin orange. 7" powerbait worms in motor oil and junebug.
  22. Couldn't tell ya! Won't shop there and haven't been in one in probably 6 years!
  23. Some how a new Cashion ICON flipping rod jumped in my hand at the tackle shop!!?
  24. You are going to the wrong tackle shop then!!!?
  25. Everyone that is a fisherman is still learning, no matter if they have fished for 50 years or 5 hours. When you stop learning something about the fish and the process of catching them it is time to give it up I believe. I learn every time out how much I stink at it!!! haha
