That is what I have at this time is a wire shelving unit, it works fine. The floor in the basement has uneven floor in places so thinking I may want to build shelves that attach to wall so no chance of them toppling. That isn't a bad idea! Thanks will keep this in mind!

Ok folks I have noticed that the closet I have set up right now is getting over run by my tackle! I would like to turn one room in my basement into my tackle room. My question is for you folks that have a room dedicated for tackle storage, could you show some pictures of how you store tackle? Like shelves, rod racks built to the existing walls(rods vertical) preferably? Would like to build all the storage shelves and things myself, just wanting ideas of how you set up your areas.

I am on the Shin's knot boat this year! Found it the other day and is very easy to tie, and is very small so should go through the guides quite well. Can't speak for the strength yet though, water is a little bit cold here right now! haha

Trolling motor would be a definite for me! But I wouldn't say you absolutely need one with spot lock on it, depends on how you fish really! I am a bank beater so a trolling motor with spot lock doesn't make much sense for my style of fishing, but if you like fishing offshore deeper then it may make more sense to get the spot lock. But as said before you can learn how to use the Helix 5 and later upgrade if you want to! I ran right out and bought a lowrance 9 ti2 because a buddy told me I needed it for my new to me boat! Some days I don't even turn it on, not saying it is a total waste of money but I may have been fine with a smaller screen!

Get in better shape so that I can fish longer days! (Already started this process) Hoping to top my PB of almost 7# this season! (Planned trip to Chickamuaga this year, so could happen) Get better with fishing from the boat and boat control.(only my third year with a boat) Focus on my strengths and not get spun out so fast when something isn't working!

Depending on what your water clarity is I would just fish straight braid! The only reason I would use a leader on it would be water clarity where I could see all the way to the bottom in deeper water. Just my opinion though.

Most likely yes! Haha! I don't get real technical with the fly fishing, just something I picked up to have something in common with my nephew. Other than the couple times a year I wade fish this creek I don't use the fly rod much.

Love using a fly rod for smallies while wade fishing! Nothing better, water so clear you can see them running between your legs after you hook up and trying to figure out how to dance your way out of it!

I own a tracker and they are far from superior compared to other boats. I enjoy my tracker but I bought it used as a first boat and have put a few dollars into it since I have bought it. I will not be purchasing another tracker when it is time to upgrade.

I like its action wacky rigged, think it is a bit different than the others because of the narrow middle section. Just my opinion though
