Folks I have a question. I live in Northeast Ohio and want to bring my younger brother down to Chick to fish next year. I am going to hire a guide to take us out for a couple days and put us on fish. My brother lives in Upstate NY, he is in prime Smallmouth land, and well my fishing in Ohio just plain sucks. haha. Anyways I am wanting to ask would May be a good time to plan our trip down there to fish for Largemouth? I am wanting to treat him to a great trip and make some great memories. Neither of us have ever fished the south so it will be a new experience for both of us.

Caesar Creek and East Fork are good size lakes for Ohio from what I know of them, Cowan is much smaller in size. I think you would be fine on all three with that boat, the two larger ones may get a little rough on a busy weekend, but you will most likely be ok in that boat. I don't know a whole bunch about any of those lakes but think you would be ok in that boat.

Nothing wrong with that boat, and definitely nothing to be ashamed of! They all work the same in the long run! Looks like a nice clean set up!

I live in Northeast Ohio also, been tough for a few weeks now! This week is supposed to be dropping in temps and should cool the water off and get them really eating. Keep throwing those moving baits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, chatterbaits, squarebill cranks. Just keep chucking and winding and you will get on them soon.
