I started out in a float tube to get of the shore! It works great for small water, and back bays of larger lakes. You won't go anywhere fast but it will get ya off land.

If I had your problems I would be just fine buying new ones! Haha?

I am with you guys I will do my best not to buy anything made in China, but we all know how tough that will be!

Yes you are correct and that is where I will be going to get them! Group size wise is bigger the number the better it is? A buddy of mine said group 31 but I see where they have a group 34 at a better price, so which to go with?

Thank you for explaining that to me! They do cost more and that is why I was asking for a better understanding. But that sounds like the route I go because I definitely don't want all the maintenance!

My question is are AGM batteries necessary? I am dumb when it comes to this kind of stuff. Is there a huge difference between AGM and regular deep cell batteries? Like I said I don't fully understand all of this battery stuff. I am putting a new trolling motor on my Bass Tracker 170 and it will be a 24 volt, instead of the 12 volt that is on there now. Just wanting to understand a little better before going and buying two new batteries.

Don't have pictures, but found a Mann's Pogo Shad and a Bomber Water Dog in the box on Sunday while helping the Inlaws clean out my MIL's brothers house. Thought that was pretty cool!

You pay for a license just like I do, me personally I don't keep fish at all. I don't like to eat fish, I know I am weird, been told that my whole life! I have no right and neither does anyone else if you buy your license and follow the same rules as everyone else does. I don't like seeing pictures of people keeping big fat bass but I won't say anything to them as long as they follow the laws!

A lot of it depends on what you are flipping or pitching into cover wise to me! If I am in heavy grass I want something more streamline so it doesn't hang up on the grass on the way in and out, so less appendages. Craws I usually do around docks and laydowns. Just my way, I am sure everyone has their own way!

Chickamauga is one I hope to fish at some point in my life and a lot of the other lakes in Eastern Tenn. I would think any of those lakes would be a great day with a guide that can stay on the fish movements better than most people!

$500 can get him a day on the water with a guide I am sure. Which is what I would want my wife to get if she was looking to blow me away with a surprise. I am very particular with my gear so that would be a little iffy unless she got my wishlist stuff. I would vote for a day on a good bass lake with a guide for a day with a better chance of catching that giant fish of my dreams!!!

I live in Ohio, so just finding a bass to catch is enough challenge!!!

I haven't bought anything since February, but had to have a fix this week! Finally bit the bullet and bought some jack hammers. Also got some old school baits balsa crankbaits. And some other odd and ends. Hopefully that will hold me over for a little while.

I think St Croix does something similar but may be mistaken!
