I have done it a few times and never had an issue. Whoever you are buying the reel off of should have a buyer's feedback rating, the higher the better.

I have the 703, up until last year I used that rod for almost every technique. Now I am going to use it as a squarebill rod, and possibly still use it for a spinnerbait rod also!

I actually noticed now since I have been looking at tackle closer and where it is made, most of the tackle I buy is made right here in our great country so I am good! Gonna stick to that from here on out as much as possible!

I am a line watcher usually, what I mean by that is watch your line laying on the surface of the water. If the end closest to you starts lifting slowly off the water, set the hook. If it moves to one side or the other, set the hook. On moving baits like cranks, spinners and baits of that nature, and you feel something funny during the retrieve set the hook, but more that likely using these types of baits the fish will set the hook itself when it hits. Hope this helps you out! This is just the way I notice bites for the most part, unless a bass absolutely destroys the bait, then it is easy to tell!

That is weird, my little brother lives north of Syracuse and just called them yesterday and they told him that the launches that weren't pay to launch were still open. That state make absolutely no sense, they only look at what is going on in NYC and deal the whole state the same verdict.

Not here in Ohio, 16 - 20" would be bigger than most of the bass in the state!! lol

I have nothing but Lews reels and they work just fine for me, I have the Tournament MB reels and Tournament MP reels, never had a problem with them. But everyone has their own opinion of all brands in the fishing industry!!

The MB's are great, I have four of them. The MP's are better to me though I also have three of those! Can't go wrong with either one in my mind! But as others have said may have a problem finding the MB anymore!

The ones I use are made by Ohio Pro Lure, and usually a black for color

I was having those same thoughts last week at work, stressed out, couldn't seem to shake the stress. Then Thursday the president of our company told us they were going to cut back on employees and some hours of employees. I was one of the safe ones as I am shipping and receiving for the company, I have been one of two people in the office for going on five weeks now. That opened my eyes to looking at things in a different view, we are all stressed right now, we just have to be patient with each other. Everyone is going to have times where they are not themselves, everyone is going to hit that wall where they feel like they can't deal with this any longer, I had that day last week, lucky for me my direct Supervisor is patient and laid back, he talked to me and got me calmed down. Just treat others as you want to be treated, I was told that as a child all the time, but now more than ever it is time to take this approach with people!

I am guessing you are young, and I am not preaching here but will say this! Your parents aren't really wanting to fish, with all that is going on in the world right now, they are realizing what is important, and that is you! I understand wanting to fish by yourself and having peace and quiet, but one day you will wish you had that time back with them! I lost my dad when I was 19, they are not around forever, and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't wish I could have went fishing with him more. They just want to be with you and spend time, the world we live in right now is making everyone for the most part change their way of thinking, myself included! Just have patience with them, who says once you are out there you can't move away from them if you are bank fishing.

I have had many days where I have not caught fish, here in Ohio the lakes in my area get hammered day in and day out for bass. I love to catch fish but I have always been one that just enjoys being outdoors! Riding around in the boat is relaxing to me, catching fish is a bonus for me! It is my way to unwind and get the real world out of my mind for a few hours.

I would say the biggen bit off more than it could chew and died from that, then something found the two floating near the shore and made a meal out of them!
