How far do you go?
AEP is awesome, I have a float tu e that I hike in with and have caught some really nice largies out of those ponds! The big one for me down there was just shy of 7#, still trying to top it, I believe if the state record is ever broken it will come from those ponds. Beautiful and peaceful for sure!

How far do you go?
Good bass fishing, an hour and 45 minutes. Just bass fishing 15 minutes, Ohio lakes suck so I have to drive to Southern Ohio to the strip ponds with my float tube for good bass fishing.

How far do you go?
You live in the same area my younger brother lives in, also my mother. My brother fishes all the places you fish, he loves the river for sure. I get to fish up there once a year with him for about a week. Beautiful area with all the water around there.

Do You Have Fishing Goals?
My goal is to get better at fishing out of the boat. I have fished from shore my whole life for the most part, until July of 2019. I didn't have a lot of time last year to really learn how to fish out of my new boat. This year I am hoping to learn all the nuances of fishing from a boat. Also to figure out one lake that is local that I have fished since I was a kid.

Stranger things
Well that counts as a good day in my book!!!

Is this enough trolling motor?
I was also thinking that too. Like the rod locker space, most of my rods are too long for it anyways so it doesn't really get used, plus that would center the weight in the boat from the batteries. Haven't quite decided which I want to do probably the smaller tank on mine, think the batteries up front would be too much weight for the 9.9 to get up on plane!

Is this enough trolling motor?
This is my thinking also with my Tracker! I am thinking of taking the gas tank out of there and putting a smaller one in to make room for another battery. My boat only has a 9.9 on it so I really don't need the 18 gallon tank in my boat!

Tube fishing for largemouth
I have great luck with the NED rig for largemouth! T rig a tube and use it for a flipping bait sometimes, they seem to like that also!

What weights do you use for timber/laydowns?
Football head jigs are not the best for woody areas, those heads are made more to roll over rock and hard bottom more. The only time I go to the super heavy trig is when it is thick grass, try to use the lightest weight whenever possible as I feel it lets it stay in the strike zone longer!

What weights do you use for timber/laydowns?
If I am flipping jigs they are usually 3/8 oz. When flipping Trigs in them I use 3/16 oz weights the most, either a beaver style plastic (SK rodent, RI sweet beaver), or a craw style bait (Jackall Archelon, Zoom UV speed craw). Hooks (EWG), jig head style probably an Arkie style head! Hope that helps you a little. And by no means is this how everyone else does it, just my way of doing it!

Stranger things
I caught a sweatshirt and my dad caught a boot within 5 minutes of each other one night catfishing. My dad looked at me and said let's go somewhere else before we start hooking into body parts!?

Crankbaits for the coming year, suggestions.
I really like the Berkley cranks, not over the top in price, and good hooks.

How do you choose which finesse presentation to use
Mine is usually Ned or wacky for shallower water! Dropshot for deeper, just my way. Ned and wacky take too long to sink, that is why I tend to use those in shallow water. Dropshot can be weighted differently so if fishing deeper water I can use a 3/8 oz weight to get it down faster!
