Yeah that is ridiculous! Which pond did you catch that on? You fishing from shore?

I miss wading.
I go to a small creek in southeast Ohio a few times a year to wade fish, this creek is clear enough when I take my fly rod I can hook a smallie and watch it run between my legs! It is absolutely hilarious watching me try to dance out of that, so I have been told! ?

Caught a 3 pounder that had the head of a 6 pounder! Skinny and long, then the sky opened up. So it was a short trip.

Affordable shoes/boots for wet wading
My buddy bought a pair of these for wading a creek we wade, it has small gravel to large boulders in it, he was very upset the first time he wore these wade fishing. They have no support, and the soles aren't thick enough to keep your feet from hurting. I bought a pair of wading boots from Bass Pro and I believe they were their brand (White River) maybe, they were around $50 and have been using them for about 3 years now without any problems. They have plenty of support for your ankles also.

Snap Swivel/Hand Tremors
My father had tremors in his hands when I was a teenager, we tried the snap swivels for him and he still had problems opening and closing the snap. So I just started retying his stuff for him every time we went fishing, but knowing how bad those tremors can get I think the fastach clips would be your best bet. I have been using the Mustad brand ones also and haven't had one fail. In my opinion that may be your best option! Sorry to hear about your tremors, I know my dad just gave up most things he enjoyed after a while of dealing with them.

Well I guess it really isn't a bridge, it is where the run off from the camp K lake runs under the road. If you come out of camp K drive and make a right the road I am talking about will be the first on the right, if you go out there a ways you will pass an area where they have oil wells, then pass and area with a cattle trap all on the left, after you pass a clearing out that road where they ran a big pipeline underground, the first road to the left is where the airport pond is. The road that camp K is off of is called Lincoln Hwy, the first road off to the right is township road 2, then the road off that is Ziler ridge, Ziler ridge road is where the airport pond is! Also if you take the road camp K is on out to route 83, take a left on 83 then the first road to the right is called tiltons run, there are tons of ponds out that way, I have caught my biggest fish in those ponds! And just a tip if you see a red sign next to the edge of those haul roads that says no vehicles beyond this point there is most likely a pond in that area, may have to hike to find it though!

Last time I was down there they were gated off! May be open now. I was down there for a day at the beginning of October, didn't do great but hopefully better now. That t shaped one to the left of those I have had some luck in, it is deep bluff walls and clear. If you go past the campground there and over the little bridge take the first road to the right, go out there about a mile maybe and take the first road to the left, there is a nice pond on the right there, they call it the airport pond. There is another pond directly behind it at the back also that not many people know about. Always have good luck in those two! I would add a picture of what I am talking about from Google earth but I don't know how! Sorry! Maybe next year we can meet up down there and fish it a little together!

Bass Season Done?
I believe I am with you on that one! Already pulled the line off the reels and pulled them off the rods. Going to attempt to clean my reels this year. Need to get the boat winterized also, hate to do it but I don't think after this warm front there will be any good temps to look forward to till spring! Time to get depressed!

Float Tubes - where to start?
Well if you want one with oars you are most likely looking at more than the 300-500 range for a solid one. I have a regular float tube that I just where flippers to get around in, have had it for 5 years or so and love it for smaller ponds and lakes. I bought it for a place here in Southern Ohio that has a ton of old coal lakes they stocked with bass. It is perfect for them for sure, I have used it is back coves of my area lakes also and it does quite well. I don't have any help for you on the ones with the oars, as I bought the one I did because the best ponds down there require hiking so I wanted something I could throw on my back like a pack and hike a mile or two. I wear float tube fins, and neoprene waders in mine, the waders mainly because the ticks are terrible where I use my float, and they keep the ticks off me. I wouldn't think if you want one with the oars you would need fins but I may be wrong.

We all start somewhere.
Sounds to me like he just wanted to hang out with a good friend! Sometimes it isn't all about the fishing.
