Are Bass Pro brand rods and reels any good?
Just prepped my 2006 bps bionic blade 5’-6” ultralight spinning rod last night, I have the 6’-6” med power spinning rod also. I also purchased a panfish pro rod last year which I’m really happy with. I feel for the price they are well built.

Are Bass Pro brand rods and reels any good?
As far as I was told the biggest difference between the carbonlite and lfs is the braking system, bps being dual braking and Lews magnetic only. That was before the dual pinion Lews is currently using.

Are Bass Pro brand rods and reels any good?
I also caught a great deal when I bought mine at the spring classic I believe 3 years ago? I paid $120.00 for the combo. I’m pretty sure you’re referring to the pro qualifier baitcast reel which receives a ton of praise for its price point. I also purchased a carbonlite 2.0 spinning reel last year and really enjoy it. I believe the bait casters are Doyo the Carbonlite 2.0 spinning reel I bought I believe is made by Daiwa.

Are Bass Pro brand rods and reels any good?
I have a carbonlite 2.0 7’-0” med power fast action combo and it’s one my favorites, it handles my 3/8-5/8 oz lipless cranks perfectly. I also purchased last year’s model crankin stick 7’-3” hvy power fast action which I’m using pretty much for 1/2 and 3/4 oz chatter baits and I love it. Not sure how the new model compares but I can feel every turn of the blades and have no problem ripping it through weeds. Going to try a Berkley 105 Choppo on it this season also.

Of Fate and Road Runners....
Roadrunners in 1/16 oz were the first lure I used exclusively for almost a year when I got back into fishing almost 30 years ago. To this day it’s still a go to on the retention ponds I fish. My favorite is a green head(bare hook) with a Berkeley gulp alive 3” minnow as a body. Catches every species except carp.

Stretchy Fluorocarbon Line Recommendations...???
Just watched the latest tactical bassin video, “ big fish on light line” he speaks of sunline fc100 as being the exact line you’re searching for. He described it as a fluorocarbon designed to have the stretch with return to normal as a design feature. Seem to remember it’s only available down to around 16 lbs if memory serves me correctly, but I have “CRS” syndrome as AJ calls it?. The video was posted yesterday. Good luck??

Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
Yeah this retention pond has a lot of dink bass but some nice fat gills.

Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
Went to a local retention pond Monday for a few hours, these are the best 3. My favorite was the ambitious little guy who whacked a Berkeley “Choppo 110” I was playing around with. The others all came on a ultralight lipless crank fished on a light rod with 4 lb line.

How to tighten loose rivet knob in handle?
LMFAO.... ?. I think you’re best off finding a replacement handle but looking forward to hearing your outcome.

Couldn’t resist the price. Saw someone on here post about buying direct which is what I wound up doing. Now I’m going to build a spooling station for it as my old Berkeley station is to small.

New pb
Congratulations ??She’s a beautiful fish for sure.

Does a squarebill/lipless combo rod exist?
I’ve used and still my favorite for 1/2 oz. lipless, a bps carbonlite 2.0 med. power fast action for both. Costs $120.00 1/4-5/8 oz weight range.

Abu Zata
I own one of those linear mag braking 80s, mine is a CA80 with an aluminum frame which I paid well under the asking price of $99.00 for let alone the $150.00 of the Abu. Yes it’s made by Doyo but still overseen by Daiwa and yes I own “true” Daiwa reels, but if you haven’t used them you shouldn’t knock them either. If I’m not mistaken Abu manufactures none of their reels but continue to receive tons of praise for many of their other products. Lews also comes to mind if I’m not mistaken. Just saying there is an awful lot of criticism for a couple reels in Daiwa’s large lineup.

Tatula 100H 6.3:1 on the way. Needs a rod?
Although I have yet to use them I have 2 Okuma rods, a 7’-2” evx and a 7’-3” tcs bought during Tackle Warehouse Black Friday sale. They are very well put together, light and comfortable imho. There are tons of you tube reviews on many of their rods and many reviews on this site also which helped me pull the trigger on mine. Another rod I can recommend is a bps carbonlite 2.0 7’-0” med. fast, I’ve thrown spinner baits, lipless cranks and square bills and it handles all of them with no issues. It’s probably the most versatile rod I have and if I’m only bringing one rod this is the rod I bring.

Finally! Seastream Angler 120 PD Pedal Kayak Review
Thank you? That was great review, although I’m not in the market for a pedal kayak hoping to save enough for a lower end paddle one this year, I really enjoyed reading your review.

Cancelled the Daiwa Fuego 2500. I need a good lightweight spinning reel for the victory 610MLXF
I know I’m beating a dead horse but look into the Piscifun Carbon X 2000. Supposedly made on the same line as the Daiwa Tatula.

What line did I spool last year? Can't remember!
My wife will tell you I can make a strong run against you for president ?. I also take my reels off for winter storage and I mark my line weight, brand and type on a post it or any piece of paper and put it in the box with the reel or in the case of no box I’ll put them in some kind of soft bag with the same information.

Wanting my first bait caster...
This is a much better description, my 2 low end reels both behave in this manner. It sounds like you’re talking yourself out of purchasing a bait cast reel altogether which is your choice and only your choice. If you choose to fish with spin casting reels only so be it don’t let anyone talk you out of going out fishing which regardless of what you use is the most important part.

Ideal Rod/Reel/Line Combos For All Presentations
Enjoyed the video but I respectfully disagree when you referred to a 7:? gear ratio as being a slower speed reel. I know they make 9:? speeds but I think a 6:? speed makes a better slow speed reel. Nothing personal and to each their own ?

Wanting my first bait caster...
Although I have and enjoy using my Kastking royal legend 2 bait caster I will say it’s nice but the spool tension knob is not the best in the world to setup for the proper tension/lure fall (If that makes sense) also it tends to loosen up after repeated casts. No experience with the black max but I do love my Revo X and in my opinion would fit your needs. I think it’s important you at least go to your favorite store or tackle shop and try to see what you personally like and hopefully find a knowledgeable employee who’s not just trying to sell you something.

Wanting my first bait caster...
I’m right hand dominate and only use left handed reels. My older brother bought a lefty (a then new green curado bantam) and when he first showed me I thought he was nuts ?
