FWIW I just googled them for heck of it and it appears they’re still in business. They even have an Instagram page that they posted on earlier this month.

I can’t offer advice for the jerk bait rod but I have a previous version TP1 7’-3” med hvy moderate fast. Although I don’t throw chatter baits on mine it was supposed to be excellent for that exact purpose. The new version (TP1X) falls into your weight range at $109.95. I’m not sure if they have the same blank in any of their other lines.

I used to work for a top tier nationwide construction company in Chicago, one of my co-workers had a saying, “if you don’t produce you’ll get cut loose”. I know he didn’t come up with the phrase but I seen more than a few guys get cut from quite a few crews for this exact saying.

Although I’ve not used any of the aforementioned brands other than the Lews I have several medium powered rods currently including 2 Lews 6’-10” IM-8 medium powered speed sticks (Hank Parker signature series and Carbon Fire). They are rated 3/16 - 5/8 ounces and I usually throw a 1/4 ounce swim jig with trailer and a 1/4-3/8 ounce spinner bait no trailer and I find they have a little more to give if that makes sense. I also throw square bills in the 1/4-3/8 ounce range and have no problems whatsoever although I as many others rip them over weed top’s which is why I use a faster rod, I currently have a bps carbonlite 2.0 which is about the same action imho. In terms of their parabolic actions I think my 2 are on the faster side of moderate/fast and if I’m choosing to use crank baits I have rods with a more parabolic action I will use.

Not at all the way I thought the game would play out tonight. I think the statement by Mike Tirico “the Bengals survived” summed it up well. If not for a fluke fumble recovery for a touchdown I’m not sure which way the outcome would have been. I really thought the Ravens had a great plan against Joe Burrow. For what it’s worth I thought the Bengals were going to dominate tonight.

I see them crazy gulls in truck stop parking lots all the time. Watched one swallow a big bite hot dog from 7-11 whole ? I used to love watching the loons swim, I would try like all get up to follow them but man I never knew where they were going to pop up?

Man I miss hearing loons☹️. Although in my youth we only went for a weeklong fishing trip to Minnesota every summer, the songs those loons sang would stay with me for quite awhile after we left?

They are definitely holding their own ?

Anybody besides me think that John Harbaugh didn’t appreciate the sideline interview ??. He was almost as chippy as the players on the field, and I wish the mic picked up what he said when he walked away?

I should also add I was a huge Mke Ditka fan who was anything but reserved??

I agree with what you’re saying but if any coach can pull off the upset it’s going to be Doug Pederson, he has a quiet, reserved coaching style and knows how to stay focused and execute a change in game plan which gets the best out of his players.

I mainly used 3 this past season. For bass it was my Wright & McGill 7’-0” med rod with at first a Shimano SLX than a Daiwa Tatula 80, for spinning duties it was my 13 fishing defy black 7’-1” med light with a 13 fishing creed LTE 2000. For panfish duties it was my 7’-2” BPS Panfish Elite light powered rod paired with a Piscifun Carbon X in 1000 size.

Such a shame. I’m in no way a McCarthy fan but ESPN did a comparison of this years season between the cowboys and packers. They had darn near the same numbers in every team respective with the packers having Aaron Rodgers for the full season but the cowboys being without Dak Prescott for I believe 6 games this season.

Going back to what turned out to be an enjoyable mixed twelve pack for the kickoff to playoffs weekend ?

I too was fortunate enough to see him back in my younger days, the equal billing was he and Stevie Ray Vaughan at the UIC Pavillon in Chicago. Together they played a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s voodoo child that that to this day I’ve never seen or heard done better. RIP Jeff Beck??

@AlabamaSpothunter earlier tonight I was going through my fishing stuff and came upon this lure from my Grandfather and although I will never throw/use the lure it made me think of your Christmas gift which then made me think of a thread on here that I cannot find but I’m certain was titled “so you guys like the old stuff” ?. Maybe I have the thread title wrong but it was an awesome thread nonetheless with many participants including @bulldog1935 who may be able to jog my memory in terms of finding said thread. Either way I’m happy to revisit some of my Grandfathers lures?
