  1. I use a milk crate too. Even made the lid using the bottom of another milk crate. I don’t really care how it looks. It is functional. That is not to say i wouldn’t purchase something if I found a great deal. I just can justify paying these exorbitant prices.
  2. I have had my Met for about a year and a half and it still feels as smooth as the day I got it. It is just a solid performer and I am sure it will last me for many years. Wish I could say I have fished the Steez but I have never even held one. I am sure you will love both.
  3. Only have spreadsheets for my rods and reels. Can’t imagine doing for all my tackle…
  4. I second the Ultegra and would add the Vanford if you are looking for smooth. Shimano’s have been very reliable for me too. If you want to try another Daiwa, I have been pleased with my Ballistic LT.
  5. Does anyone have any experience with this rod? Would love to hear your thoughts on the rod and how you would compare it to other heavy cranking sticks you have used. thanks!
  6. Or Lunkertext??
  7. Same here. I like InvizX and will buy it if I see a good sale, but honestly I like Red Label just as much and can find good deals on it all the time. I have never had any issues running it as a leader.
  8. I was a little concerned about that myself so I emailed, and customer service confirmed they are 6 packs.
  9. They also have 6-packs of some of their football jigs for $6. Mostly 3/4 oz and a few 1 oz. Never tried them but they look pretty nice and not much to lose at this price.
  10. I don’t clean them or tape them off. It is such a thin coat I don’t have any issues with gunking up the eye or with chipping, and I actually want it to match the paint scheme.
  11. Right now it is the Rapala OG slim for me.
  12. Lucky craft pointer would be my guess but hard to tell for sure from that pic.
  13. Twice I have dropped pricey combos in the water while on my kayak. Fortunately for me, I had rod floats that did their job well.
  14. Same here. Good experience each time I have ordered and quick delivery. I have only purchased reels though...never a rod
  15. Found 1 pack in the last 6 months....
  16. I would do the 3/0 also. I don’t want the hook getting to close to the tail where it can affect the action.
  17. I use the 25lb tactical clip for jerkbaits and it doesn’t seem to be an issue for most jerkbaits I use. The 50lb will cause it to sink nose down but I only use those for my deeper diving crankbaits, some poppers and walkers.
  18. That is beautiful!
  19. What about the Techna PXs? Do you like those?
  20. Yeah, my favorite rods are my Expride’s and Poison Adrena’s.
  21. https://www.sierra.com/s~daiwa/ Sierra just got a bunch of Daiwa in. They have a left handed steeze and a couple of lefty zillions. Also have quite a few BLX rods for $279.99. The BLXs are tempting me so hopefully you all can buy them up quick. Enjoy...
  22. No problem at all! Glad you were able to get one as well! I got mine yesterday. In perfect condition and was actually packaged very well. Was able to get out with it in the evening and was very impressed with the action.
  23. https://www.sierra.com/shimano-expride-moderate-glass-casting-rod-8-16-wt-610-1-piece~p~29yrd/?filterString=s~shimano%2F $179.99
