New reels
I like 'em too. Best reel for the $; close 2nd to the Zillion.

How many lipless cranks too many?
I enjoy fishing lipless as much as the next guy, unless it's in current. Like all other flat sided cranks, they turn sideways. I'm a miser compared to most of you guys as I only have 21 of them.

Anyone still using Storm Subwart?
Still have two of them tucked away, have not used since about 2010. Back then I did a lot of wade fishing for Smallmouth in shallow rivers and they were excellent producers, also scored an occasional Northern, Walleye, and Rock Bass with them. I remember once climbing a thorn tree to retrieve one. Today I live on a deep highland reservoir and had not even thought about them until this article.

H2O Hooks?
Makes me curious to know who makes hooks for Zman Ned Heads. Had two of them break last year, one on a snag, the other on a very large fish of some kind. Both broke about half way up the shank while tied to 6# fluorocarbon. No more Zman Ned Heads for me; no more hooks made by that manufacturer if I learn who it is.

Old fishing holes that are off limits anymore
I was 4 when my Father came home from WWII. He leased some property from Peabody Coal Co.. It was 8 miles from town, had strip mines and a small river. We put a house trailer there and other amenities for weekend and summer hunting and fishing. Twelve years later the Boy Scouts acquired the property and we lost our lease. Fast forward 45 years and I located another paradise for Smallmouth fishing. Ironically, it was another Boy Scout Reservation. In exchange for cash contributions and other favors I was allowed sole access to fish. Nine years later, having a cash crunch, the Boy Scouts began Land Leasing the property to Deer and Turkey Hunters who did not want me around; paradise lost again. Today I am relocated to the Ozarks and only life's end can take that away.

My Problem With YouTube Fishing Videos...
Major League Fishing shows very little but the hookset and "skiing" the fish to the boat; boring to me, and I usually look for something more informational to watch. Bassmaster does a much, much better job and is interesting to watch. Well said. I can't think of anything more boring than watching the anglers having coffee and riding to their supposedly unknown location. They are professionals at their trade, not actors.

Pain in left flank....
Speaking from experience, my friend, you have a herniated disc. Your Doctor will probably inform you that surgery, followed by a lengthy rehab. period "may" help. He may also advise you to live it if you can manage the pain. Arthritis will probably settle in there as you age. I've lived with it for nearly 40 years. It sucks.

Frogging Drag
I'm looking for experienced opinions on the drag capacity of Daiwa Tatula reels which most anglers deem to be necessary for hooksets when froggin' around heavy brush. Thankyou, guys.

For the Daiwa Fans a DC Reel

For the Daiwa Fans a DC Reel
No doubt the young guys, who can afford them or are sponsored by Daiwa will cause these reels to make the scene in the USA. Those of us who started out with cane poles will unlikely reach that summit; many still don't know how to use a smart phone app., if they even own a smart phone. I'm a Daiwa fan, but here is where I will draw a line. (Born in 1942)

What is Nylon Line?
I ordered some items from a well known supplier; they sent me a free spool of Sunline Nylon Line. How does it compare to fluoro. and mono.? One more question....where can I order trailerhook tubing? Thanks , guys.

You get to retire/move to your Bass fishing dream lake/river.......what lake/river are you picking?
Not by any means; I moved here from Northern Illinois. Enough of those blood sucking vampires there to carry a man away. Depends on where you are in Arkansas.

Take a spring, summer, fall vacation here and experience it yourself. Look me up when you do.

You get to retire/move to your Bass fishing dream lake/river.......what lake/river are you picking?
Forgot to mention the lack of mosquitoes; I've been here 11 years and can only remember 3 mosquito bites. Guess that gives me "braggin' rights".

You get to retire/move to your Bass fishing dream lake/river.......what lake/river are you picking?
There are times I wish I had moved further south, but being here is lots better than most have it. My house overlooks one of the top bass lakes in the country and my Vexus vx21 is in a slip less than 5 minutes away. In my garage sits my river boat and I am 10 minutes away from launching it into the world famous White River for trout fishing. Sometimes I complain, but I shouldn't.

Bass lures for trout
My area is known for big trout and lots of them, but that makes them highly pressured. I swing for the fences with Megabass 110's and the magnum sizes as well. Works for me and ups the average size fish.

A heavy jig rod
I'm curious to know if H/F is considered the only way to go. Do any of you use a 7'6" MH/F?

Has your credit card been hacked??
Thanks to y'all for the inputs. When I began this thread the purpose was to determine if others had been hacked after ordering from Japan; apparently not. BOA has taken very good care of me when it comes to sending alerts and blocking suspicious purchases, but the inconvenience of being without the card for about a week when that happens, then registering the new card with my auto-pays is a pain. I've refrained from disclosing what the hacker attempted to buy with my card for fear of Glenn banning me from this site. It had nothing to do with bass fishing.

Has your credit card been hacked??
Made my first ever on line purchase from one of the most discussed Japanese sites. It was the only place with stock on a reel I wanted. Got the reel quickly, saved some $, but little more than I would have saved from my favorite U.S. site during one of their sales, if they had stock. Four days later my credit card company caught two unauthorized transactions on my card. Anyone else have a similar experience?

U-40 drying
Tom is right. One Mr. Clean Magic Eraser pad will quickly and easily clean at least a dozen cork handles; wipe them off with a damp cloth when finished.

Military Service Record
In the late 1960's, the Army stopped assigning service numbers. For those who already had one and all new recruits, their social security numbers became their service numbers. This was done sometime in 1968 or 1969; I experienced the changeover.
