  1. Why does Downscan and Sonar always show right to left movement?
  2. Great advice, the manual doesn't cover that. Thankyou.
  3. My boat is a 21'11" fiberglass, that's pretty heavy. I've given up on the Livesight Imaging, so has a friend with the same set up. I really appreciate the advice you guys are offering.
  4. I wasn't going to mention the Brand, but my trolling motor has what is called Anchor Lock.
  5. I have one of the new trolling motors introduced this year, 36 volt. When operating in the "lock" mode, it constantly moves the bow back and forth, even in calm water. It is impossible to effectively drop shot with this much movement and water disturbance. I watch the Pros who are sponsored by this same Brand, and they have little or no apparent movement. Any of you experiencing this?
  6. With the popularity of Ned Rigs, I am interested to learn how others apply the technique in deep water.
  7. I'm considering adding the Drift Paddles to my 10 foot Power Poles and looking for experienced advice. I would appreciate recommendations pro and con from the readers.
  8. I've owned Tatulas for 7 or 8 years, assorted models and price ranges. I currently have 15 of them; never had a problem with a single one.
  9. Do you have Lowrance Livesight? Do you use it much? Do you like it? I have it, think it was a waste of money, stopped using it. Curious what others think.
  10. 50 feet. My lake is up 32 feet. I have to hit 35-40 feet just to get past the brush. 1/10 jighead, some bites come on the fall. Slow way to fish, not a lot of bites, but average fish size is larger than fishing shallow with other baits.
  11. I've had broken lips from the 110's hitting a rock and also slapping them against the windshield and trolling motor. Lots of bent hooks from hook removals and snags. Regardless of all that, they are finely tuned, have incredible action, and remain my only jerkbait of choice.
  12. I am right handed and use only left hand cranking. I own 19 assorted Daiwa Tatula reels, love them all, but to get a 5 speed gear ratio the price is more than the average angler will pay. "Listen, Daiwa."
  13. Thankyou all; I believe one of those will work.
  14. I would love to find a 5'6" good quality pistol grip rod. Does anyone know of a manufacturer?
  15. I'm a veteran of northern Illinois. Swim your grub off the bottom with a 1/8 -1/4 red jighead. For spinnerbaits use a firetiger skirt with a single gold Colorado blade. For cranks be sure to throw shades of red and bright orange. The ponds are usually shallow, so throw squarebills and wake baits. I have relocated, but speak from many years of experience.
  16. I have a 2014 with a 150 Yamaha; no complaints, your price seems fair.
  17. Single gold Colorado blade, Firetiger skirt.
  18. I was watching MLF Live and the commenters referred to a new Hook Removal Tool that Shaw Grigsby was using yesterday. They said it was really slick and had never seen one like it before, did not know the name. Does anyone know about it?
  19. I find applications where I wish I had a good quality 6 ft. pistol grip MH bait casting rod. Does anyone know of a reputable rod manufacturer who still makes them?
  20. Lefty Kreh knot is quick and easy, especially while on the water. Only negative I found is that it is a little more bulky than some of the more time consuming knots, thus giving a little "bump" when passing through the guides.
  21. Many of my rods are Duckett Micro Magic, 6'6" to 7'11"; I wish I could get the same rod in a 6' pistol grip.
  22. Vexus VX21 Ranger Z21 Triton21TRX
  23. I've been working hard on my pitching. How far, from the rod tip, is a good distance, while staying accurate? 3/8 sinker with a 4 inch senko, 20 # fluoro., 7'6" heavy rod, flip/pitch reel.
  24. Jigging blade baits and spoons in deep, clear water, getting hooks tangled in 12# fluoro.. What's a better line to avoid this?
