Social Media: Have we come full circle?
Social Media has become a backed up sewer for cowards, keyboard warriors, and troublemakers to show off without even revealing their real names if they choose. People use foul language, lie, and make remarks about others while knowing they won't get sued or punched, safely hiding behind a keyboard; I'm only scratching the surface. I applaud Bass Resource for having rules and enforcing them.

Welcome to the “New” Forums!
and, so.....please walk us no-tech-training-dummies through how to clear our cache. There must be other Forum members like me whose only knowledge came from a 1956 manual typewriter class. Thankyou.

Welcome to the “New” Forums!
Just sayin', I believe some of us older and Tech Compromised forum members are going to be left behind with the new changes.

Another braid to leader question.
Correct on the Knotsense, I began using it about the same time you did.

Re-Covering a Worn Steering Wheel Cover
I've worn the original steering wheel cover on my bass boat down to underlying felt. Searches for a proper fitting replacement cover yield no satisfactory results. One site said it is because they have a dangerous tendency to slip. I'm considering a certain tape which is advertised a lot. Does anyone have successful experience doing this?

Another braid to leader question.
Braid to leader except for 2 casting reels where I use 10# Tatsu. Mostly use 10# or 15# Invisx for leaders, may switch to mono for some topwaters. I've used an Alberto for quite some time, even keep an Uncle Jim's Alberto Knot Tyer at home and on the boat, but I'm always looking to improve. Following many attempts and frustrating failures I've finally developed my own procedure for the FG knot; it is stronger, smaller around, and does not give a little bump going through the guides. I am able to tie it in the same time period as the Alberto, and when I break off, it is no longer at the leader knot.

Speed Clips
Have you inquired about Lasik surgery; I didn't qualify but know others with amazing results. Keep trying, friend.

Looking for Bass guide in Florida that puts out chum to draw in bass!
Chumming for Trout is common on the famous White River and it does work immediately, mostly using corn for stocker size Rainbows .

Speed Clips
You may look into cataract surgery, mine made all the difference; ask Swamp Girl how hers turned out.

Weirdest catch of all time…
Those Soft Shells have long necks, they will getcha'; I speak from experience.

The Time Draws Near
If your partner is getting the new VXS20 or 21, you are going to be in envy of the looks and especially the ride. The Vexus plant is 10 minutes from my house. Spotted Cow is only in Wisconsin; good brew.

Weirdest catch of all time…
....within 1 second, what? You have some huge cottonmouths in Al..

What do you consider your most productive old time lure?
Frog color Jitterbug.

Weirdest catch of all time…
A Bullfrog and a Cottonmouth.

LM caught from Table Rock shatters previous world record!!!
Toss it over the Dam, maybe I can hook it in Bull Shoals.

Are you still buying older reels?
I will buy a quality older reel if it's a Daiwa and I can hold it first; no on line purchases. Maybe if I had the repair skills of BULLDOG and DVT I would react differently.

Staying warm
I am able to keep everything warm but my hands. Not a fan of spinning rods or vertical fishing methods, the spray from casting reels combined with the known fact that older people get colder, often keeps me off the water; gloves with three exposed fingertips don't work, the fingers still get stiff. I haven't found a workable solution, maybe getting younger would help.

Berkley Finisher and Krej
I fish the Krej as a Wake bait, not as a jerk bait.

What lure caught your biggest bass in 2025?
6 inch Megabass Magdraft; took too long to get the hooks out, released her without taking time to weigh and measure. The big Largemouth's survival was more important to me than a photo.

Winter 2025 ~ 2026
I bet you have a backup whole house generator and a large propane tank.

Daiwa 2026 😢
That $105.00 is a real deal; I bought two of the 6.3:1 left handed. I have them both on 6'8" medium light rods dedicated to 3/8 oz. jerkbaits with 10# Tatsu.

Your Favorite Topwater Propbaits
I have 6 Whopper Ploppers, asst. sizes and colors, they don't work for me either. Bass in the Ozarks must be well schooled.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Northern Illinois properties are out of sight and the taxes are worse; I lived most of my life there. Try crossing the borders North, South, and West; you may be surprised what you find.
