Mercury outboard would not crank
If you have a remote starter, which most newer Mercs do, oftentimes it needs to be near the main starter button when the motor is started by using that main starter button. The remote can also cause the motor to stop while running if moved out of proximity, or placed in a tight pocket of your pants. Other than that, the remote's battery may need replacement or could be improperly installed.

I get better BFS hookups with light wire sabre type hooks.

A Sad Day Indeed ~
Didn't know I was on the E-Bay site; $400.

Friday?
Ditto on the multiple wind directions, makes it miserable to hold the boat and cast. Slowly warming spring conditions on my lake usually mean the local tackle shops will sell a lot of baby poop color tubes.

TUNGSTEN PRICES
I have a friend who owns a fly fishing store; he imports tungsten beads in bulk and sells them to fly tyers locally and around the country. He recently sent out notices that tungsten prices have recently risen over 500%, buy them while you can. I have not needed to buy any tungsten products lately for bass fishing, and am curious what our forum members have experienced in prices of this product.

“Older” terminology
Strike King used to make a line of Elaztec tubes; they floated high, could be worked in tight places, and skipped very well when Texas rigged weightless. It was my best producing topwater for river smallmouth.

Tatula love is over. KastKing is here to dominate Daiwa/Shimano with their AL-Ti!
I have lots of reels and don't frustrate myself comparing brands; if it's not a Daiwa I'm not interested.

Scoping Jigheads
Sounds like too much work; straight out of the package for me.

Favorite creature, craw, bait.
Guess I'm a loner : Zoom ZCraw Jr., 420 California on a 1/4 oz. red/black football jighead.

Sounds like a Daiwa rep. got fired and was hired by CastKing.

Leader length?
Length of rod, casting or spinning, before I tie on the lure using an FG knot for braid to leader and Palomar to the lure.

KARASHI 80 ; ANYBODY GET ONE?
Thanks A-Jay! I was not familiar with Hammonds, they had what I wanted and shipped immediately (for the most part). Three Karashi 80, several bags of soft plastics, and two Hideup Coike. I received an e-mail telling me one of the Coike was out of stock, and refunded my card at the same time. I'll buy from them again.

Zillion SV vs Tatula SV
I own several of each and totally agree with you, but in a similar price range I prefer the Tatula Elite for casting distance.

High priced baits
Where did you get those clips to hang the lures on pegboard hooks?

KARASHI 80 ; ANYBODY GET ONE?
I tried two more of my favorite sources, no luck there either; now I'm bummed and out of the mood, will look again some other time. I didn't run across any tinsel trebles for the 80 size, only for the original BFS size.

KARASHI 80 ; ANYBODY GET ONE?
First offering of the Karashi 80 at The Hookup was available at 9:00 Arizona time. Sold out in seconds. I put 3 in my cart, in stock, then shopped for a couple Vision 110 plus 1 Jrs, took maybe 5 minutes. Went to checkout and all 3 of the Karashi had been removed from my cart, and all colors in the product were sold out. Did one of you guys move faster than I did and steal some?

Swim jig question…
I'm a swim jig fan. My lake is all rock, no grass, and I always have one or two tied on with shad or craw type trailers. Since I discovered Siebert's swim jigs, they are all I use; huge selection, made to order, high quality.

Plyometric Training
I'm in my 80's now and it's sad to admit the old stud horse ain't what he used to be. I trained 6-7 times a week and competed in regional body building competitions until my late 60's. I hated cardio then, and still do; it's boring. What I did, and still do, is high repetition leg presses non stop for 15 to 20 minutes, walking lunges with dumbells, box jumps, and unweighted deep squats; any of those when done in volume with light weights will always leave me huffin' and puffin' like an old freight train. This routine may not be for everyone, but keeps my weight and blood pressure down and I'm not on any meds. This year I've reduced my gym sessions with weights to 3-4 times weekly, but my Border Colly still demands her daily walks, swimming, and fetch sessions which last for 1-2 hours; keeps me off the couch.
