Medium diving crankbaits summer

Featured Replies

What is your favorite summer medium diving crankbait talking about 8-10 foot?

I don't fish a lot of cranks but when I do it's a KVD 1.5 size.

Runs a little deeper than what you mentioned but OSP blitz ex dr and blitz max dr.

Another DT fan here. Lot os pressure and clear water up here so I think the silence is an asset. I carry them from a 4 to a 20, but the 6 and 10 are my staples when I get throw a crankbait.

^ agree. I also like the evergreen cr 10. Neither of them are cheap but both companies make solid crankbaits that cast well and sometimes you can find them on sale.

I just got the blitz ex dr. My thought is that depth and small 2" size would fit really nice for the schoolies I usually chase in July/August. Are you grinding bottom with this little guy or is it a mid-column deal for you?

Bagley DB2 or 3XD here.

Both. Mid column they will eat if chasing bait on a burn pause retrieve.

Norman’s DLN

I contemplated that one but could only choose one. The Norman dives a couple feet deeper and might be better for the 10 foot range.

another vote for the DT series.

Storm Arashi 10, it has the weight transfer set up giving it more distance on the cast.

I like the SPRO John Crews Little John Type MD 50 Crankbaits. They have silent & rattle versions.

I’m a DT guy myself. Red crawdad or Demon is a color I fish a lot.

Bandit 300 or SK 5xd are my go to crankbaits.
