  1. So do you have a pic or more explanation?
  2. That one is nice. I'll bet it doesn't grumble as much as my wife when I hand here a spool of line and a pencil.
  3. As far as I know they migrate up streams like the whites and stripers. I don't know about stripers but whites don't bed. They drop the eggs along shoals in current and on windy banks. The males fertilize the eggs and then they are on their own.
  4. When you look at batteries look at reserve capacity. The larger the number the longer the run time. Try to get 180 rc or more.
  5. Sometimes the angle of the screen, the tilt of your head and whether or not you are wearing sunglasses can really have an effect on how well you can see the screens on color units.
  6. I've been using them off and on for years. I've used them at night 2 times this year. The first night we caught 25 bass and 11 walleye. The second night we caught 17 bass and 6 walleye. We were swimming them. The best color was a combination purple and orange, but other colors worked as well.
  7. Yep, especially if it blows from the same direction for 3 days in a row. This moves a lot of algae and plankton to the bank area giving shad plenty upon which to feed and game fish a veritable buffet.
  8. I used it for several years. I found it to be a little stiff for my liking. It worked well on bait casters but not so good on spinning reels.
  9. I have been running structure scan for 4 years now. In that time I have located and marked 100s of brush piles and under water lay downs using side scan. When I vertical fish I use down scan and can sometimes see fish in brush piles and drop a bait right down to them. It is just another tool but to answer your question, yes it has helped me catch more fish. I use it for crappie in the fall and winter. The first year it helped me put over 1000 in the boat.
  10. I fish a few. In the highland reservoirs we have the water may be as deep as 100' under them. My bait choices are buzzbait if the water is calm and spinnerbait if there is wind.
  11. I'm not saying anything. I'm quoting Dual Pro. Check the link.
  12. I run hds units and with sunglasses I sometimes can't see anything. It is the angle. Try looking at it from a different angle.
  13. That is what Dual Pro told me and on their web site www.dualpro.com it lists the 15 amp 3 bank like I have as 3 banks (15) amp per bank total (45) amps.
  14. I have the Sears battery. It is 4 years old and keeps all my stuff going and starts my hard cranking Optimax. If you go for one of those listed get the 800 CCA and hope it is enough.

The stinger mold from Jacob's is very close. It does have eyes but that doesn't matter. I've had one for 3 years now. It is a 10 cavity mold.
  16. I'm saying I use the bead to hold the weight at any place on the line that I choose. The bead is the peg.
  17. When I peg, which is seldom, I put a bead on the line then I pull a few strands of living rubber through the bead and secure the line. The hole in the bead is large enough so that my home made pulling tool slides through without any line damage. The bead can easily be moved up or down the line as needed.
  18. An 80+- pound thrust 24v system will be all that you will need to take care of that weight. I get all day out of my batteries with a Motor Guide TE 82 hauling around a 1600 pound boat with a 500 pound motor on it. When you get the new motor be sure to get batteries with lots of reserve capacity.
  19. You should look at reserve capacity in a DEEP CYCLE battery. That is the most important thing especially with a 12 volt system. It will draw more amps than a 24 or 36 volt system.
  20. I don't want to discourage you but you could easily have a couple of hundred bones tied up before you make your first worm. If you are wanting to save money then this is not the way to go. As for a mold to make them, more than likely they are covered by a patent so they can't be duplicated legally.
  21. I don't know how you would rate efficiency. Daily battery life is dramatically increased as you move from 12 to 24 to 36. If my memory is correct 24v has 1/2 the draw that 12 does and I think 36 may be 1/2 what a 24 is but it has been a long time since I have seen the numbers. I run an 82 and by the time it is too windy for it to hold the water is usually close to or coming over the bow.
  22. You can take the top off the tmotor and align the arrow. There may be an L shaped bracket that has been bent a bit. You can fix it or buy a new one. Can't help with the Merc.
  23. I've been using wire from a burned out table saw for over 10 years. When I run out of it I have another motor just waiting to take over.
  24. Get the standard. That is what I've been using for a long time.
