Anybody have a trailer storage box?
I bought an electric jack that was supposed to be powered by an auxiliary battery. I rewired it and put a 7 pin connector on it. I just plug it into the truck when I want to jack the trailer. There surely is a way to also power a winch via the truck.

mold question
Tim I make a lot of my own molds. I use Bondo and silicone. I've never used POP as I am pretty careless and clumsy. If you are wanting stick molds there have been some on sale at www.tackleunderground.com and Bears baits. Look in the for sale sections. Also check out Lurecraft and Bait Junkies. They have lots of molds.

What is this seemingly worthless kickstand on my outboard for?
That is just another semi worthless part that some companies add to the motors. I had several with them and never used a one that I can remember.

HDS 9 Side Imaging Question
Personally, I find that 50' or less gives the best images.

That would be Bo Jon. Cancer got him. Try searching on www.tackleunderground.com.

Float N Fly Help
When I did it I used from 5-12' of line below the float, adjusting up or down as needed to get bit. I pretty much would shake the rod causing the float to make little bobbing moves and bring it back slowly.

Knot for YZH
I use the 16/20 (Pitzen) knot for all lines. It is easy to tie, even with gloves on and very strong.

New outboard questions
Before 02 there were Opti problems. Since then not so much. The key to an Opti is being sure to warm it up before take off. I get mine up to 120° before I leave the launch area. If I fish a long time on a bank in the winter I warm it up again like at the ramp. Mine is an 02 and still going strong.

2X4 Scraps Useable In Lure Making?
I doubt it but they do make good kindling for fires.

Champion 203Dx.....need Feedback Please
Actually guys, Genmar owned Champion along with Ranger and several other boat companies including Lund. It was run by Irwin Jacobs who owns the Fred's stores. When Genmar collapsed Champion which was being built in the Strasto/Javelin plant in TN was sold off. I believe that same company bought Ranger. That company combined the Champion and Stratos lines into a whole different boat. Now it is all owned by John L Morris the founder of Bass Pro.

Champion 203Dx.....need Feedback Please
I'm running a 2001 Champion 206. I've had it since it was new. It has been a great boat and is still going strong.

How To Get Into Making Jigs
Take a look at lead, lead pot, goggles, hooks, weed guard, molds, paints, skirt material, etc. See how much the start up costs are then decide if or not you want to take the plunge. There are some guys on this site (Cadman, and Mike at Seibert outdoors come to mind and maybe smalljaw) who would probably sell you heads (painted, unpainted, with or without weed guard). Then you can get some skirt material and make some jigs.

Broken Skeg
A good welder can fix it in a few minutes. You won't even notice it was broken.

What Skeeter are you running and how is it powered? Does it porpoise? Every one I have ridden did.

Thanks trees but I don't fish tournaments any longer.

Mike how does your buddy's Phoenix set in the water when you are fishing? How is it for rocking when a boat comes by hitting you broadside with wakes.

In The Market For A New Glitter Sled.
Sorry Catt I did overlook size. I'm fishing out of a Champion 206 right now and have been for the last 13 years. I won't buy anything shorter than that. I have heard of Legends but know nothing about them. I fish lakes that are from 20,000 to 60,000 surface acres and 1,000 miles of shoreline. Some are rough most of the time and some aren't.

In The Market For A New Glitter Sled.
I plan to buy a new boat next spring. So far I am considering Ranger, Phoenix and Bass Cat. I'm most interested is the layout, storage, and fishing platform front and back. What else would you look at and why would you want it?

What's The Best Temp For Baking Jigs
10-15 minutes at 350° is what I normally do. That gets them hard enough for me.

Hair Pulled Of Lures - Repairing
You can put any kind of thread on the hook. Wrap it around a few times then put the hair where you want it and wrap the thread around it. A couple of half hitches and some clear fingernail polish will hold it in place.

Tying A Skirt Onto A Punch Weight
I think the rag thing would be better than a tooth pick, if you pull like I do when I wire tie something. My daughter bought me a bench vice at Grizzly in Spfld. that has rubber cushions on the jaws. It really helps when skirting jigs.

Help With Spinning Reel Specs
I have 1000, 2000, and 2500 Shimano Stradics. If I were setting it up I'd be going for the 2500 but if you are uncertain why not take the rod to a store that sells them and hang them on it so you can see for yourself which one you want to use.
