help finding serial number on trailer
Most of them are on the inside of the frame on the port side. You will have to crawl under the trailer to find it. Take a wet rag and a flash light with you.

Do you trust your battery charger?
My neighbor doesn't fish on a regular basis so he is a little careless with his batteries. He went fishing and returned in 4 hours. He told me his tmotor quit. I got my hydrometer and checked his battery cells. The specific gravity was 11.5 v. He also said his engine was hard to start. That battery was barely 12.5v. He said that he had put a trickle charger on the tmotor battery for 30 min. before he left home and the charged light came on before he left. We put chargers on both batteries (he only has 2 trickle chargers). It took 36 hours to get them back to 12.7v. I don't think he will trust his chargers any more. He said he was going to buy a hydrometer.

Set-up for jigs, crankbaits, and heavy spinners...
It all depends on the size of jigs and how heavy the spinnerbaits are. It looks to me like you may need 3 setups. I know that I am not comfortable using a MH for jigs over 13/8 oz or spinnerbaits over 3/8 oz. I'd be looking at a M for cranks, a MH for jigs and spinnerbaits up to 3/8, then a H for larger jigs and spinnerbaits.

Stradic FI (new 2008 model)
I don't have it but sure am glad that they made it 'cause I just bought 4 of the 2500s on closeout at BPS. I have some older 2000s and the 2500 out shines them. I'll bet the new ones are awesome because Shimano just keeps getting better and better.

Jig Styles
I have to agree with what has been stated. However, I was digging around in my molds a few weeks ago and found an old banana jig mold. I made a few and used them on a long stretch of dam rip rap. They were as snag free as the footballs if not a little better. I have since made up 4 dozen to have for further study.

Winter
My favorite bait anytime of the year is a jig. However, my most productive bait as winter comes on is the 4" tube. It produces lmb, smb, and spots better than anything else that I use. I like jerks but most days they don't give me numbers.

Soft plastic bait idea, help
I suggest that you search this site and tackleunderground for different ways guys make molds. Take a look at your bait and see what type of mold would be needed and proceed from there. You could have a custom mold made but the ones I have priced were in the $500 range.

Need Opinions on Ethical Fishing Question.
If the fish is of legal size and you want to eat it keep it. That is your right as a legal licensed person. It only becomes an ethical issue if the fish is sublegal and you decide to keep it.

BPS reels, where to service?
I don't know of any reel service closer to you than Spfld. Bob and Nancy at the Catalog outlet do some reel work. You might check with them and see if they would clean your reels while you are in the area. 417-887-7334 ask for the rod and reel repair at the outlet store.

New Sonar
Yes pixels really make a difference. Color is also really nice if you take the time to figure it out.

BPS reels, where to service?
Bass Pro has a full service reel center. Outdoor World Rod and Reel Repair 2300 E. Turner Suite M Springfield, MO 65803

lure retriever
I bought this thing from BPS and didn't like the $.50 spool so I put it on a broken rod and an old reel a friend gave me. It looks like a bait grabbing tool but I guess I am not smart enough to use it because I still haven't gotten a bait back with it.

New at making jigs
I agree that the football is a pretty good rock jig. However, I have started using the banana in rocks and it does as well for me, if not a little better, than the football. I do quite a bit of brush fishing. I have found that going to a smaller hook helps in brush. I use a 2/0 for my brush jigs. They don't get hung as badly but still catch fish.

Anybody ever put structure into a pond like this?
The lakes I fish have brush piles on every point and most banks. Some put in by agencies and some by individuals. One guy at Bull Shoals has 800 brush piles (I'd really like to get hold of his gps sd card). Sycamore trees will sink without any additional weight. They are the cover of choice in my neck of the woods.

tubes, how do you fish them
You can get the same results with a bell sinker and a worm hook for a fraction of the cost.

New at making jigs
I am partial to the banana, football and arke heads. Like GMAN said. You have to fit the head to how you will be using it. As far as size goes, I throw 3/8 less than I do 1/4 or 1/2 oz.

Bass fishing guru's How would you attack this lake
I would start fishing with a jig or trig not necessarily deep but close to deep water. I'd also fish those lay downs with jigs, slow rolled spinnerbaits, and crank baits. This time of year the fish here in MO I find mostly in very rocky or ledgy places. BTW: Is this Brush Hollow Creek?

Need Opinions for PVC Support on Boat
You might try the gray pipe for electrical conduit. I use it for extra support because it will bend and form an arch so I don't have to make any joints.
-
rod and reel grips
I use the BPS rod wraps. I buy the XL and can do 2 rods with it. I use it as much for identification as anything else.

Gloves for cold weather fishing?
When motoring I wear some wind proof gloves and a wind proof hood that I found at Target. When the boat is stopped I only wear rain proof gloves or beaded jerseys. I carry multiple pairs of each.

Which Symetre for 7' MH Rod?
That is what I would use. Mine are 2000s because they are old. I use that size on everything above 5'9".
