Need some help here.
For the past week my state of NJ has been under a heat wave and has seen temperatures in the mid to low 90s with some days being more humid than others, with that said the water temps at my local fisheries have been higher than summertime usual to the point where the lake water feels like hot bath water. Anyway I've been struggling to catch more than one fish per outing, the only tactic that has shown promise has been burning moving baits to the point where it annoys the fish, but on the other hand NO slow moving baits have worked at all. I've tried everything including fishing shade. Fishing later in the day/early morning and downsizing all my presentations and fishing really slow, deadsticking it even. They won't even touch senkos! Before the heatwave all my summer tactics would work and get me pretty good results. What are some tips/advice you guys could give me to get more bites right now? Do heatwaves like this turn the fishing off?

Chatterbait trailers. Are they a necessity?
Yes. Get yourself some zakos and you'll be set.

You newer anglers need enthusiasm then experience
I can relate to this, last year when I started fishing again I wasn't catching anything at first. If I were someone else I would've thought more about finding a new hobby, but my enthusiasm and determination payed off when I started ripping lips. Been addicted to our sport since!

This site has the best people!
Bassresource isn't just a fishing forum anymore, it's a club! A club of brothers and sisters that help anyone and everyone become better anglers! I've only been a member here for a year and I absolutely love this place, ashamed many people my age (early 20s) who are new to our sport don't come on here! They rather watch clickbait sponsored videos on youtube! Bassresource is a family that I'm proud to be apart of! Definitely made me a better angler in the long run!

I love it when the fish do what they're supposed to do...
The book never works for me, I guess nothing ever goes to plan in bass fishing though, even if they do go to plan I tell myself it's an anomaly and can end anytime. That's probably why senkos exist lol

Reaction bite vanished!
Had a pretty good time fishing yesterday at my local spot here in NJ, it was humid and party cloudy but the chatterbait bite was on when I first arrived, managed to get three in 15 minutes before some "threatening" clouds moved in, once the clouds came over the bite died off for everything, anybody know why? I thought pre thunderstorms were great times to fish? It didn't even start raining until after I left three hours later. Temps were 90 degrees with 54% humidity and a slight breeze from the SW.

Does TW still take a while to get order?
28$ for 2nd day air??? My 2nd day air price is always 11 to 15 dollars depending on the product!

Does TW still take a while to get order?
I ordered some stuff today. Since Covid began I've made sure everything I order is shipped via 2nd day air, i'm not waiting three weeks for a bag of worms and some restock hooks I need. Ridiculous.

Minn Kota Endura C2 vs Endura Maxx
Title says it all I have a bass hunter 120 coming in and I need to know which trolling motor will be better to push me around (280lbs) also what upgraded props make it go faster/weedless.
-
Minn kota edge battery?
no, I bought a bass hunter 120 and they give a mount for bow mount trolling motos, 36 shaft makes sense for smaller boats like that. I also plan on putting a little 2.5hp in the back, I don't even know if i'll get a bow mount, but I want a trolling motor that has more than 55lb maybe a 62lb or something like that.
-
Minn kota edge battery?
Any links? I mainly plan to use it for trolling at slow speeds but will crank it up if I need to get out of somewhere

Minn kota edge battery?
Recently purchased a Minn kota edge trolling motor with a 36inch shaft for a plastic boat, what size battery should I get/recommend for this unit?

Water level has risen heavily can't get a bite
Yeah, it also got very humid and hot up here, went to the same pond yesterday and managed to get one on a senko, still though a very tough bite.

Water level has risen heavily can't get a bite
My pond looks like this now since the high rain. Those low hanging trees you were able to walk near a couple of days ago, also you can see the algae that's in there since they treated the pond last month with herbicides, usually doesn't effect the fish much but the water quality definitely goes down. Also there's a big fountain in the middle that gives it oxygen

Water level has risen heavily can't get a bite
Recently in NJ we've had a significant amount of rain in the last two days which has risen the water level at one of my spots to pre spawn levels (it's one of those ponds where the water level retreats when we don't get enough rain) anyway today I went to fish and got skunked, where do the bass go when the water levels in ponds like this rise quickly?? Water is very muddy now and couldn't get a bite on any dark colored lures.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
Got off the phone with cabelas, Pelican has been extremely behind on backorders with most of their products including the bass raider, which explains why the orders (including mine) have been canceled, probably gonna buy the bass hunter 120, it's sorta like the pelican but something that is really cool about the bass hunter is it can have a mount for foot controlled trolling motors.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
Why? Did they cancel it or did you? When did you order?

Fanally caught bass on the WACKY RIG
Heading up to a lake my family has property on this weekend. Gonna try out the wacky rig finally after a long hiatus.. (weightless texas rig senkos are better IMO as of now) Wish me luck guys!! Also, it's a good rig for beginners, surprised that some of the tournament guys on here bash it so much..

Fishing Tackle has been wiped out from stores.
Walmart, dicks sporting goods, even tackle warehouse the list keeps going on, can't even buy a pack of Zoom chunks for my jigs on tackle warehouse because everything is out of stock, was very fortunate the other day to come across a couple bags of senkos still left at my local walmart, every thing else has been absolutely wiped out and hasn't been restocked because it's not deemed "essential" What about you guys? Is trying to restock on tackle becoming a lot more harder now? I fear for the worst once I run out of stick baits...

Daiwa Aird X
I can't find this rod anywhere, tackle warehouse currently has it out of stock with no backorder date, anyone know where I could pick one up online? Looking for a 7'3 medium heavy fast.

For the Bank fisherman: What "pushes" your buttons while fishing?
In Florida are most people like that when fishing subdivision ponds? next year i'm heading down to boynton beach and want to try some of the millions of subdivision ponds and canals I saw on google earth, fingers crossed I don't get chased down by angry senior citizens who have nothing better to do lol
-
California 420
What kind of color is this? It reminds me of the watermelon red color from Gary Yamamoto, what water clarity would you throw this color in?

For the Bank fisherman: What "pushes" your buttons while fishing?
I've had many verbal alterations with the elusive creature known as "karen" these nasty little buggars are known to harass anglers who are minding their own business. I had one shout at me to wear a mask last weekend at a pond I was fishing and I shouted back at her "it must take a lot of ****s to not be wearing one yourself" and she got in my face saying "excuse me blah blah you have no idea who you're talking too blah blah I work for the town sanitation department" I told her to get the garbage men to come pick up the trash here and let's just say she walked away and kept her mouth quiet. Defend yourself while fishing guys, don't let anyone intimidate you out on the water like that.
