Ewg 2/0 or 3/0 both Texas and wacky 5”senko ?
I use a 3/0 EWG hook for most of my wacky worms. From my experience a little larger hook prevents swallowed hooks.

St. Croix guys.....your thought on this
My oldest son doesn't like expensive gear. When we was old enough to hunt I offered him either a Benelli M1 Super 90 or a Remington 870 Express. He liked the Remmy because it was American made. OK. I have too many SC rods and told him he could use anyone he wanted. As my son mine is his but he wanted a less expensive rod. He really likes the Ugly Stick so if he's happy I'm happy.

St. Croix guys.....your thought on this
While I'm a huge SC fanboy I would never dismiss/knock any other brand of rods. My oldest son LOVES his Uglystick and didn't want a more expensive SC.

St. Croix guys.....your thought on this
I like to use rods in the 6'6"-6'10" length primarily for ease of transportation (I have a GMC Terrain) and I like MF or MXF rods. I use primarily Legend Xtreme's and Legend Elites but I recently bought a 68 Mojo Bass in MXF and really like it.

What is your rod/reel setups?
I primarily use spinning rods but do have a few casting rods for bass and of course for musky.

Recommend me a Spinning Reel Rod to pair with Stradic CI4+
I am a fan of the Ci4+'s. I have four of them on two St. Croix Legend Elite's and two Legend Xtreme's. I have never had any issues.

Thanks Slonezp.

Help me pick a spinning reel <= $100
I had a bad experience with the Fuego 2500 LT so I would recommend either the Sahara or the Nasci. Nothing against Daiwa I think I just got a lemon and it soured me against the Fuego LT.

Daiwa Fuego 2500 LT Problems
I guess I've been fortunate in that I've never had to add washers etc... for my reel to operate correctly.

New rod ? MH OR H and what is good
I'm a St. Croix guy so in your price range an AVID would work and they have hook keepers plus a great warranty!

Hi Viz Line all the way to the lure?
I'm not using Hi-Viz but I use straight braid to my lure. I tried using a leader but found it more problematic than beneficial in my opinion. I do not believe that I'm missing any bites. At least that's what I'm telling myself!

Gander Outdoors?
The Rockford, IL store is either a hit or miss. They quit carrying Shimano reels which I didn't understand and when they are out of stock on an item it can be months before they resupply. I've been told by employees that the company just sends them stock, not necessarily what they need. I couldn't believe that especially in this age of computer inventory. Also the Rockford, IL store always seems to be very short staffed. I don't think it will last long which is too bad as Cabela's in Hoffman Estates is my only other good source of gear.

Fast Vs X-Fast rods?
I can't really tell a difference in action between XF and F most of the time just being honest. I definitely feel the difference in power between M and MH though.

More versatile spinning rod
I have a smaller car and getting 7' rods in and out is a pain otherwise I would go a little longer.
-
More versatile spinning rod
I'm torn between an AVIX X 66 MF vs a AVID 66 MHF for a versatile spinning rod. What would you guys choose?

Anyone with experience with the 7'1" SC LTB "POWER SWIM"?
Nobody????

Rod fit for Shamano Stradic C14+ 2500 reel
Congrat's on a great reel! How much do you want to spend on the rod? I'm a SC fanboy so for <$ 150.00 I like the Mojo Bass. Around $ 200.00 is the AVID series which IMO is the best combination of performance/price all the way up to the LEGEND ELITE or LEGEND XTREME which are $ 400.00 and up.

Favorite Rod Manufacturer
I was thinking more of a Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet with Olives myself
