Introduction
Welcome to BR ? Was into precision shooting and reloading myself but shortages forced me into precision airguns, won't look back.

Neko rig question
I use #2 VMC with a Med action rod on spinning tackle, an 8# flouro leader. Zman finesse wormZ is my preferred bait with 1/8 weight.

No way am I fishing a holiday weekend ? I'm retired and will fish Tuesday, Thursday.

Arriving to lake game plan
The lakes I fish are small enough to cover in 4 hrs but occasionally have to go around twice to prevent a skunk. Lol A new lake and you want a fish ? Keep it simple and look for cover.

Fluke hook-up ratio problems - when to set the hook?
I really like Zoom flukes and Assassins but Keitech seems to be a softer plastic......less durable, but softer. I like a 3.0 EWG. As mentioned, you could also nose hook them. I prefer using a spring twist as I feel it doesn't impede the walking action.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
I've been on a good fish run for the last month including yesterday's nice top water fish. Well today, fished for 4 hrs and not once did I hear my drag. Lol Only caught 5 little ones like this.

Anybody Ever Get Caught Without Their License?
I've never hunted or fished without a license. Carry fishing license, boat registration and photo of drivers license in waterproof pouch in tackle bag. Have been checked quite often over the years.

What a pain in the gas
Wife and I book all trips well in advance, through the whole calendar year so all accommodations have been paid for....... except gas to get there ?

Inflatable Life Jacket
The arming of these vests seem straight forward but here's a thought. Wearing a PFD that you're not 100 % sure is going to inflate is perhaps better than not wearing one at all. But I understand where your coming from.

Inflatable Life Jacket
Glad you're asking ? I highly suggest you wear one regardless of water temp. You could get thrown from boat on a big lake and have to swim several hundred yards or more. This one was very affordable and wear it year around and have another in the boat for a guest. Thinking around $75......it's a manual inflatable where the other one is an auto inflatable.

Road To The Super Bowl 2023
Bottom line, Prescott crumbles in big games but still the team to beat in the East. Imo

Short leaders
Only 2 reasons I use a leader " flouro ". (1) it simply gives me more confidence in the VERY clear water lakes I fish. (2) it prevents line wrap of front treble when using braid and I'm an advocate of braid. I'll retie all the way down to a foot of leader and have had zero issues with an Alberto knot. Moving baits, I don't bother with a leader.

Best o ring size for wacky rigging a 5inch senko?
Some may call it snake oil but I use the VMC crossover rings and pliers, simple and convenient. Never could get two Orings to make an X without swearing.

Suggestions for kayak under $500? Stand-up capable?
That was my biggest issue. I actually had a kayak that could easily be stood in but getting to the " stood " position was a fiasco. Advice to the OP, get a yak with a high seat or simply refuse to get old.

This is the 10th boating-related fatality on Tennessee waters this year. Just wear it!
Sad and highly likely his death was avoidable. I use to be that guy, no PFD, no seatbelt until I woke up one day and realized other people depend on me and would be devastated had I left the world carelessly. PFD goes on before the boat hits the water and doesn't come off until feet hit the ground. Prayers for his family.

1st top water fish this year.
Started out this morning with a WP 75 and caught 2 with one being the best fish of the day. Worked a fluke along grass line and caught 3 more and lost a good one. Water temp 68*.

Bear problem.
Well, when I was a young renegade, that phone call wouldn't have happened but now that I'm old and wise....... just old perhaps. Lol

Buzzbait Trailers
I'm a trailer advocate, won't throw a Spinnerbait without one but have never tried or felt one was needed on a buzzbait with the way they burn across the water. Maybe I'll do some testing this year. Plus I've been getting hit with regularity with whopper ploppers. I shall give it a go.

Bear problem.
Had to call animal control today on a very stubborn bear. In broad daylight this fellow tore down the wife's bird feeder, upset the grill and chewed on garage door. I got a very surprising response from the gentleman I talked to. He requested a pic or video which I provided a video of bear chewing on garage door. The guy said SHOOT HIM, wow wasn't expecting that. Guessing they were busy today. Lol I tried to do the right thing, oh well.
