  1. Just today my buddy and I were fishing a little 35 acre lake and caught every fish in one section. We'd cycle through this section and when we got to the end, we started over. We must have did this 5 - 6 times and caught fish each and every time.

Well unfortunately we all lose big fish, it happens. I'd invest in a landing net...... something about the finality of securing a big fish in a landing net. Don't dwell on the loss, stay focused on the next big one.
  3. Perhaps we're over thinking this bass fishing thing and on an active day they will hit fuzzy dice. Idk
  4. Main thing is, you enjoyed yourself and a few fish on spinning. We've been significantly more Windy than I can remember and can't seem to escape that trend. Congrats on the fun day ?.
  5. Japan seems to have an edge in bass fishing ingenuity...... nothing like a Keitech thrown on a Shimano. ?
  6. Original thread almost 11 years ago, betting the guy is still fishing but from a Rascal. ?
  7. main cranking Rods are Lew's custom and Cashion Core. Just for reference regarding " high end ". All my Rods are under $200 regardless of how their being used.
  8. The advantage I like the best is actually weight savings. Fishing all day gives me wrist and hand fatigue so it's nice to grab that lightweight combo. That said, high-end to me might be a compromise to others. #2 better materials add to durability.

Caught my best fish of the day on the flick shake but caught the most on a Keitech easy shiner. Water was clear and fish didn't want anything that resembled power fishing.
  10. When I take the wife fishing it's always worms and bobbers and it's non stop action. Wish I could say the same when I leave her at home.
  11. Not laughing at the thread but rather this post. ?
  12. Can't argue, like the reel and the ratio.
  13. That's the invisible hybrid, an invasive species rarely seen.
  14. OUCH !!! Their everywhere looking to benefit from others hard work, nasty nasty people. Hope your insurance covers.
  15. That's unfortunate but confident y'all will be fine ? When I'm out and about, that stuff is still in the back of my mind. Take care
  16. Well you tied up my entire morning by creating extensive research. Lol Went through my entire photo gallery over the last several years and could not find 1 largemouth bass with red eyes. On the other hand, every smallmouth had red eyes. Honestly never paid attention until this thread.
  17. I happen to agree, it's never us, it's the stinking rod...... when will rods catch up to the talent level of the fisherman ? ?
  18. Take 9 so you can call an audible ? Oh and good luck in the tournament.
  19. If the fish was 22.50" long that's a 6.1 Prespawn that fish went 7.2 Great fish regardless ?
  20. Yes, it's a 1/0 Hook 1/10 oz head.
  21. Was fumbling around with all my dedicated rods, you know, a Rod for Spinnerbaits, rod for frogs, rod for jerk baits and on and on. How much money could have been saved by taking the baseball bat approach...... simply CHOKE UP. ? Sorry, been one of those days.
  22. Needed just one more finesse rod and reel so today grabbed a Lew's custom Pro TLC 2000 and paired it with Cashion Core.

Black and white here as well but only throw 3/8.
  24. Good point regarding sunscreen. I always apply it before I leave the house and then wash hands.
  25. Probably 90% of engine light codes are non threatening to engine, I've found. I personally don't like looking at the engine light while driving as I'm a Guage watcher. I bought a cheap code reader years ago at AutoZone that will erase and it stays in the vehicle. Glad you found the culprit.
