All the tackle I bring can fit in a backpack -- even when I'm on the boat. And even then I only use about a quarter of that on any given outing. You can tell when I start getting frustrated because I start swapping out lures like a zoo monkey. I try hard to cull down, but then I find a new shiny thing, talk myself into revisiting the tackle I carry around, and the whole process starts anew. It's a problem. Honestly, if I only ever took a spinning rod, some jigheads, and a pack of straight-tailed worms, I'd do just as well on any given body of water* with a fraction of the junk to keep track of. *This is not to say that I'd do well, but I'd do about as well as I would with anything else tied on. YMMV

Short lunchtime sesh. I called my shot with this fish. First time that's ever happened. Then later I caught a ride with this guy. One last fish to wrap up the night. Now I'm sitting here writing a little code and watching the X-Files.- Latest Catch Pics Thread

Bro everything lives near that steam plant.- Car Dealers Crack Me Up
I hope everybody that works in dealership sales or sales management gets an ingrown toenail that just won't go away. I hope they stub that toe on the same doorframe every time they get up at night to visit the head.- Latest Catch Pics Thread
I've never caught a tilapia, and I don't reckon we have them up here (yet, or I expect that @TnRiver46 would've mentioned it by now). But I wouldn't eat them, either. Any tilapia I've ever eaten has about as much flavor as a sheet of cardboard.- Any good mechanics on this site? Got a question.
The (factory) wiring in my C5 (which is 22 years newer than your Z28) is a bloodbath that I'm still working through. Rusted grounds, brittle insulation, bad/burnt sockets, burnt resistors in the interior controls, the whole bit. I don't say this to try to turn you off of your project, but to prepare you for what you might encounter as you tuck into the project. If I were you, the very first thing I'd do is take a dremel with a wire wheel to every single ground I could find in that car. Get all the rust off them, make sure the connections are tight, and then reevaluate. Electrical gremlins will ride you into the ground if you let them. 2nd gen F-bodies are rad. Be methodical, plan the work, and you'll be fine.- Latest Catch Pics Thread
If the wind turns my fastball cast into a slider down and away, I'm just gonna go on to the house.- Hope this is allowed.
I have my doubts that there exists such a thing as a Youtube video that doesn't encourage the user to SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON (and don't forget to subscribe) anymore. *horn sounds*- Any good mechanics on this site? Got a question.
Might could be something in the tach wiring. Bad power/ground, bad filter on the wire set, stuff like that. It's entirely possible that the tach itself is bad.- College Football Game of the Week
Pretty sure it was before our time, now consigned to the annals of Wikipedia. That was also the second season in which the forward pass was a legal play.- College Football Game of the Week

Wholly depends on the kind of day I'm having, and whether I feel like being stupid or not.- Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
It's Ethan from Online Outdoorsman Fish Anything's little lure and jighead company. The Donkey Tail is my problem solver*, and I wanted to try the Jr. version for panfish. I haven't tried the minnow before, but I do a lot of fishing with short straight tail worms on the river, and thought it'd be a fun pickup. Check 'em out. *That specific lure, on a trip with @TnRiver46 during a white bass run is what put a boat in my driveway. SWMBO looked at me halfway through the trip and said "We should get a boat!"- Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)

Good. Bury them.- River guys - do you use strictly moving baits in the fall or do you mix Ned in occasionally?
When I'm out fishing for smallies with my rod arsenal, I like to pack only sandwiches slathered with TRD™ brand NEDsauce (made with real elaztech). However, I've discovered that, if I apply the NEDsauce to the bread against the current, or with too irregular a stroke, my whole face just catches on fire. Anybody else ever experienced this? How do I keep my face from catching on fire?- It's Always A Little Sad
