Poppers: large vs small
Oops. I had 2 in hand the other day but put them off to another day. I just now looked them up and they are the bubble walker as you said and not a true popper. I still have to sample ASAP!! I have some big rapala poppers somewhere that are 5-6” I think. I need to round them up and see what they do.

Any interest in trapping?
Works on foot holds too. After one critter in there and loads the spot with scent, a 2nd catch in the next 48 hours happens a lot.

Help identifying a lure from the 90s
The lure is pre 90’s by Crankbait Corporation ran from 1967-1987 in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Luhr Jensen bought their company and did continue to make and sell this lure into the 90’s. This lure was called the Super-Dawg.

- Any interest in trapping?
I’ve been out the last 2 nights seeing whats in the yard. Mr Skunk has been out there wandering around both nights. 6 deer, 1 rabbit the first night and last night 3 deer. Tons of coon tracks and turkeys during the day. Idk perhaps it has something to do with the corn filled tripod feeder lol I told my wife that we had the cast of the movie ‘Bambi’ lol- Any interest in trapping?
Give us a pic of what’s in the live traps today- Who introduced you to bass fishing?
For me it was family, tv and outdoor magazines. My dad has never been a steady bass fisherman but he fished occasionally. My cousins always fished. The early 90’s turning 10 years old there was plenty of fishing shows on and in my early teen years I may have had as many a dozen magazine subscriptions to guns, hunting, fishing and trapping rags. Bass fishing itself has always been of interest but when I turned into a lure addict in 2005 is really when it became a bigger part of my life.- Bladed trebles on a topwater
Drove 2 hours today hitting 2 shops and spent $17 on a Devils Horse and 2 bladed treble hooks. Drove 2 hours home. Spent 20 mins modding the lure. Drove to a pond and caught a small bass and a big gill before dark… priceless!!!- Rear weighted walking lures vs flat sitting
What’s y’all’s thinking on rear weighted walking lures (Plastic Sammy) that sit vertical in the water if paused. Do you pause these or just use these when you want a continuous walk? When do most of your hits occur, on the pause?- Bleeding Bass and Mountain Dew
Whatever you do don’t make the mistake I did. I never had any Mt Dew and had to use Budweiser. The bass I caught was bleeding pretty bad and I reached in the cooler and told him this bud is for you. Everything looked good til I released him and that’s when the trouble began. The dang bass kept following me around the lake and flopping up in the boat and continued flopping (small noisy aluminum Jon boat) over to the cooler. He ended up dranking half my beer I brought and caused a scene when I was loading up cause he came up following me at the ramp trying go home with me ( I’ve since had to change lakes). I think Glenn might have had a similar experience or something. Anyhow only give water to bass.- Returning
Welcome back tater!- Zoom finally clears the air...

I’m not chancing it, I’m maxing out my card!! ? ?- Bladed trebles on a topwater
I’ve always wanted to do something with the VMC treble hooks with the blades hanging from them. My local shop has several sizes and I’m thinking I will try them on a Devils Horse. Extra flash and hopefully some secondary movement even after the props stop and the bait sits. What lures have you used these on? What’s your thoughts on them?- Any smokers out there(?)
I may have a dozen cigars over the time of a year. Enjoyed by campfires or while fishing- Pit Boss vs bandito bug
@Bluebasser86 missile baits D bomb, 25 count packs @ $12.99.. what’s been your experience with them as I’m assuming you have used them? If so what have you noticed that differs from them compared to the pit boss.- Any interest in trapping?
Actually if you inject raccoon with a brown sugar, kosher salt, water solution for 12 to 24 hours and then slow smoke and add good sauce you’d be shocked. It is amazing- Any interest in trapping?
I’ve ate several of them and the thing about the groundhog is that he is tough. Even one half grown. I always cooked them for a long time. The old recipe here in these parts was to cook and then bake. I never thought of mr whistle pig being greasy, like raccoons are. And neither are good table fare, more the fun and novelty of the idea of it.- Any interest in trapping?
You gonna have him for supper?- Lure ID
Once commonly found at BPS or even Walmart, I think they were discontinued bout 5 years ago. I do see them come up on eBay occasionally. That’s your best bet.- Lure ID
Gary Yamamoto It is the Chikara model. Looks like you have the 300 size ( it says online it came in 4 models and 16 colors). I have several of those somewhere in that 300 size and color that’s yet to touch water. How are you doing with it? - Any interest in trapping?
