I have fished since I was a kid and never broke any rods but maybe the odd one here and there. This year I broke 5 rods. Nothing expensive but rods that meant a lot to me. 3 were inexpensive Shimanos that I’ve used forever and were the cats behind. A new Falcon which was $130 and the most expensive and an inexpensive Berkeley. I am needing new rods absolutely and I always dreamed of having nice rods someday but now think I am not worthy of anything above an Ugly Stik. I broke them doing stupid things and I don’t expect that to change knowing me. I just thought I’d give you guys something to face palm to.

Of the choices given I had go with big Swimbaits and glides because I have used those the least and am newest to them
