  1. I have both the Tatula LT, and the Stradic FL. I personally prefer the Tatula LT to the Stradic FL, but it isn’t by any wide margin. They are both butter smooth, and built very well. I just like the overall handling and lighter build of the Tatula LT for my every day bass fishing. My Stradic FL has now found a home on my inshore rod, and is mainly reserved for my trips to the shore on vacations. I think I will give it a go during the striper run this year however as I think it will do very well with the schoolie size stripers that come up the river at the beginning of the run.
  2. Great topic. I always pick one new bait or technique to try each year. Some times it works out great and I find a new go to, and some years not so much ? I have decided however that this year is going to be the year that I finally see what all the fuss is about with BFS fishing. I have two combos and enough lures ordered to give me a start once the ice gets a little less hard here in the spring.
  3. I’ve been eyeing the Plano Edge stuff since it came out, and I finally gave in after finding some good deals on them on Amazon. I must say that I am truly impressed with this jig box. I love how easily I can see each individual jig now over my old system of them just being crammed on top of each other in my other boxes.
  4. Daiwa Tatula SV limited.
  5. This may not be one of my highest end combos, but I think it just may be my best looking one.
  6. It basically has the frame from the Tatula Elite from what I know which adds aluminum side plate to the aluminum frame. Also the carbon fiber handle, Zaion grips, and upgraded drag star.
  7. I told myself repeatedly that I wasn’t going to buy one of these. Apparently I enjoy lying to myself ?
  8. Too bad you aren't a little closer. I have one that I am selling, but I don't want to deal with shipping. My usual go to places for rods all appear to be out of that model right now.
  9. I use these Plano containers. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003FYF4TU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. I agree, and thats why I love the Dobyn's Sierra 734c so much for a lot of my moving baits. It has about the perfect action for them in my opinion.
  11. I 100% agree with adding a couple of the little Rozante's into your mix. they are amazing little jerk baits. I pretty much fish either the Vision 110's or the Rozante's 99% of the time now with an occasional use of a Provoke or a Ripstop here and there.
  12. If you are fine with it, but your wife is having trouble I would suggest leaving it as is and just upping the brake dial when she uses it. I never really screw with the spool tension on any of my Daiwa’s with the “zero adjust”. Any ones without it I just take out most of the side to side play when I take it out of the box, and never touch it again
  13. 15lb Tatsu for me on my T-rig rod.
  14. The Megabass 3" Spark Shads have become my go to if I am using a finesse swimbait.
  15. My main two ned rig setups currently are a Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS 7'6" ML with a Tatula LT 3000 for most open water situations, and a Daiwa BLX 6'8" ML with a Tatula LT 3000 for more tight quarters stuff.
  16. Nice! That 7’6” is definitely in my future. I have the Tatula Elite AGS version, and want to upgrade to this new version of the Steez.
  17. I’ve been in the market for some travel rods, and finally settled on the Traveler series from TFO. I have to say I am pretty impressed with them so far. I picked up the 7’ ML spinning and 7’ MH casting. I figure this combo will cover the majority of my fishing.
  18. Bizz Baits Dizzy Diamond in the bruised olive color is my go to.
  19. I like a high speed reel for my frogs. My current frog reel is a Daiwa Zillion 10.0 SV TW. It handles casting frogs like a dream even in the wind, and has a super fast retrieve. It is also built like a tank which is a plus when dealing with heavy cover. Honestly I would just pick a high speed reel in a model line that you are already comfortable fishing with, and go with that.
  20. This and the Daiwa Tatula 7'4" frog rod are my favorite two in this price range.
  21. Make sure the knot is good and wet, and pull it slowly until it cinches up. You may be burning the line when cinching it down, which would cause the breakage.
  22. Omnia is running another on of their specials. This time it is 25% off all Xzone baits.
  23. Just to clarify, the switch that allows back reeling is on the bottom of the reel. Is this the switch your are speaking about? If not than you are referring to the drag which would be on the very front of the spool. This is adjustable from completely locked to very light, and controls how much force it takes before the drag starts letting line out. This is used to keep your line from breaking in certain situations.
  24. I’m in the market for a couple travel rods, and these caught my eye on the Okuma icast release page. https://okumafishingusa.com/collections/2022-product-introductions/products/voyager-signature-freshwater-rods
  25. How does that TFO Traveler compare to the Ardito? I was actually just looking at the exact model that you have a couple hours ago, and almost pulled the trigger on it. I can’t find a ton of feedback on them though so I hesitated.
