  1. What makes it great for chatterbaits?
  2. Just buy enough discounted gift cards to cover it. ?
  3. I've got the bulk plastics in the totes like a lot of guys. I have two of the double sided boxes for plastics and hardware. I'm actually expanding on those this coming year. I'll have my hooks/weights for each type of bait and my go to colors in the tray with extras and less used colors in the totes stashed in the bow. It's nice grabbing one tray that has everything. Otherwise I have to get a bait out of the tote, get a weight from my weight box, and then get a hook from my hook box. It's just not efficient for me.
  4. Oh, then maybe I misunderstood what I was told. I'll have to go back and look. Was hoping for black frames though.
  5. Thanks! Forecast is showing mid 40s, I'll take it!
  6. That's fantastic!! Thanks for sharing! My second trip for this project is tomorrow, so hopefully I can get a great picture as well!
  7. That Scatter Shad is cool. Looks like it was discontinued years ago, that's a shame!
  8. That's what original plan was, but unfortunately, Fuji Alconite are discontinued. I couldn't find enough in the sizes I needed so I'm exploring new options.
  9. Echoing what others said, high vis color for bite detection, dark color to hide it from the fish. Just depends what you want your line to do for you.
  10. I've got it. You know what it shows me? Weeds. Weeds for days. I can see them with my eyes as well, lol. Money well spent.
  11. Yes, my home town is the current home of the actual engine that's in that story/movie. Still gives Christmas rides as long as you bought your tickets before it sells out.... In April. LoL
  12. There's some threadromancy at work here... Based on page 1 though, I find it amusing that ten years ago when this thread was started, Side Imaging was thought to be so good it was basically cheating. LoL
  13. It's the day before Thanksgiving, so marks the annual switch for me from pilsners and IPAs to porters and stouts. Love this time of year.
  14. When you go to Settings and Privacy and Security, what are your cookie settings?
  15. We contacted Garmin and I don't think there was a way to share or slave sonar/maps off of those.
  16. Just checked the weather, looks like I will skip Thanksgiving but be out on Friday.
  17. Don't remember exactly what was done. The Striker got booted for an Echomap because the gen 1s could only display waypoints, no map data which was turbo frustrating.
  18. We used speaker wire and spliced it in, brown/blue seems familiar.
  19. Haven't tried purple. So far I've not been disappointed by the Light, but if I ever am I will give purple a go.
  20. Certainly going to try! At least for a little bit.
  21. I do a deep clean every winter and an inspection mid way through the season. Second the Cal's Grease but I pay the little bit extra for Cal's Light because it is designed for colder temps as I fish into the winter until ice out.
  22. We did manage to get waypoints to be sent from a gen 1 Echomap on the console to a gen 1 Striker in the bow. But that was as far as the connectivity went.
  23. The water will evaporate, and none of your reel lubricants are water-based (unless you've made a grave mistake, lol) so the water won't hurt your reel as long as it isn't salt water. Sounds like you just need to get some line with a coloring that doesn't run.
  24. No idea how to help you, but I do want to see a picture of this thing.
