  2. I am in market to buy some BFS tackle and I have chance of 10% discount today, But I always got my stuff from TW and I am not sure what is next discount, Is it worth the waiting or I better get my rods and reels with 10% today?
  3. I remember when I saw the pistol grip first time and learn about them, I have an idea that I am not sure if it is 100% true, But I think it was American first develope the pistol grip and then Japanese hold onto it by making rods specialized for creek fishing with pistol handles and then graduate to what you can see in BFS trout rods today.
  4. I am starting second rod, Spinning slow pitch jigging rod for my grandson. Today I did customize the handle to cut the cork to make. it to split grip handle style.
  5. Chivas 25 was my best friend since college, Recently my Japanese friend brought me that Japanese whisky along with some lures and I am looking to find some of my friends to drink it with.
  6. I didn't have that issue with it, I put all small hooks in the containers that they selling for them.

  8. @GRiverWe have Clay and sand and that's very good for us(at least what they said), Also we are not going to haul anything out. We have 5acre of land that we planing to scatter soils around the property, Actually going to flat the front area of land to do fruit trees. I believe our job will start after digging the pond :). I postpone everything to after the pond finished (she have quiet list of structures and constructions that had to be done). For the start we need a barn style garage for boat and RV and big trucks with high ceiling and big doors and etc.... I think it will make me a lifetime to do it all haha.
  9. I am ready for fun and work of it :). BTW getting rid of acre of weeds is also nice haha,,,
  10. Finally I had the opportunity to start building rods. I wanted to do that before COVID and well I just could do it last weekend, We have classes once a year in California from mh. Well this is the process of learning and that's the result. It is my first rod and I build that from scratch. I'll be happy to see your custom built rods and hear about your story. I paired mine with Aldabra temporary to get a reel for it. Also I did short YouTube video it show the rod closeup. I thank my four teachers who did teach me very well.
  11. Just to keep you updated, We file for the permit AGAIN, We were force to start from scratch because our last project engeenier decided to reduce the pond to half acre (originally 0.92 acre), We have no idea why he did that , But we did get new design and now it is 0.88acre and depth from 12' now is 15' in deepest part.
  12. She caught another two Bluefin and add to her this season catches. Now she is 4 and I am 1.
  13. @Functional @Big HandsI have my alarm a reel screaming for few years now 😅, It also have ocean sound or wave sound in background, I purchased that from iTunes. Let me know if you don't find the one you looking for.
  14. I would use baits with vibration regardless of color, But if you want to go there the old black and blue or junebug. Nothing beats the vibration in that condition ad actually it will help you catch more fish.
  15. You not right here, Married But to a hardcore fisherman as well.
  16. Yet another shrink tube DIY while we at it, Use any kind of broom stick laying around and cut it to desirable parts and use the shrink tube to make FG or another line puller to snitch the knot. If you see the pictures you can see even I made one set with markers for my tackle box so I can use the marker for adjusting color of lures and use them for pilling my knots as well. Just some idea that I taught it will be useful and saving you some money.
  17. Hello and welcome, You are definitely in right place.
  18. I use Pelican case and hard camera cases for my 100 plus hard swimbaits . https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/190145-post-a-photo-a-day/page/307/#findComment-3079491
  19. Guys how to find out about your line if it is monofilament or fluorocarbon? I have top shot on some reel and I am not sure what I have there, Is there any test that we can do to find out?
  20. My Friend visited from Japan, He brought me some gifts, Going to share them as I start to unbox them and learn about them. This is the first one from Shimano.
  21. Being known to be a fisherman, Received a tackle tray full of salt water spoon and hooks from a friend(it was from his passed uncle), They are very nice but rusty, Tried WD40 on the treble hook but it didn't work as you can see in the pictures. Do you have any idea how can I fix them without effecting the hardness of them?
  22. I just get stuff from TW and BP, Unless it is hand made or JDM. They have everything I need and price are very good at BP. Just add stuff to your wishlist in TW and get them on promotions, You can't go wrong with them.
