  1. Caught two bass, one of very good size, with the lure that Tom @WRB-2.0 gave me. Look how I fixed the skirt by ziptie 😂 when I didn't have skirt material with me. For two days, I was thinking of tom and I was sad that he was not around to show him the fish that I caught on the lure he gave me.
  2. Caught 14 trout in two days and the biggest was 5lb.
  3. Just to get the 2 free hooks spent $120 😅
  4. @Alex from GA I just said what the deck hand told me, Anyways it was a new fish for me and I’ll take it whatever it called. Maybe Toro is Spanish for Jack.
  5. Monkey told me to purchase the soft plastics to get free BKK hooks LOL Also got skirt material for spinnerbaits and some Tush and Shimmy rig and also very exited to try the graph shad for first time.
  6. @rboat I don't know the color, but I have it in three sizes. My idea is the action and vibration from the lipless catching the bass most of the time, at least for me. The way I am catching fish on lipless makes it impossible for color to be a factor. BTW, I looked around the world, but I couldn't find this lure. If I find it i would buy 20 of them for me, my son, and my grandson to have it in their arsenal 😅
  7. @Darth-Baiter No, We could bring them back to cruise and rule is chef going down and get the fish and cook it for you, But we decides it is not worth them time and left everything for captain and crews to enjoy with their family which made them happy.
  8. Yes, and that's my best and first choice for line to leader, I do that at home always, and if I am in water and must do line to leader i do crazy alberto.
  9. Last week I was using my 300 and 400 size reels, and I felt so much resistance< So today I lubricated them, and the Scorpuon and TranX became very smooth, but the Toro Best (Abu) is still resisting. I opened the hatch and checked that all the gears were like new and nothing was on them. Does anyone know anything about this specific reel? Note that I tightened the tention little more than normal due to the lures that I cast with them.
  10. @rboat I have rat-l-trap 1/2OZ I got from @WRB-2.0 and I lost count of how many fish I caught with it. RIP Tom.
  11. The "MUR843C" refers to a specific model in the G. Loomis IMX-PRO series, a high-performance casting rod (the 'C' means Casting) that's 7'0" (the '84' indicates 84 inches) with a Medium Heavy power and Fast action, designed for bass fishing, featuring premium cork grips, Fuji reel seats, and K-frame guides, known for sensitivity and power in techniques like throwing jigs, worms, or spinnerbaits . AI answered 😀
  12. I use lots of braid to the leader in my combos, and I always do FG knot at home. If I must do it on water, I'll go with Alberto (crazy Alberto) knot. Fast and reliable, and easy to do on water in the wind. BUT I love my FG knots, and I never break any of them in my fishing life, even in saltwater fishing. This is the sample for my Slow Pitch Jig Rod, You have no idea the pressure on this FG pulling fish from 300 feet deep and you see how small is the knot is, Please pay attention to how I sinch the knot and burried that braid in mono/Fluoro and if you do that you have strongest braid to leader knot that can handle everything.
  13. Third and Last stop Loreto: Here again we got a Panga, and we chase after rooster fish which was in our bucket list and boy we catch lots of them in couple hours and we back to pier and pick up the grand son and bring him to catch few fish as well and all in all it takes three hours. It was a very short version for you to see if someday you want to try it. We had the comfort of traveling with a cruise, and we catch a fishes that we needed to travel by air or get 5 days up fishing boat to get to those spots. Besides, I was able to bring some gear with me and that's a big plus for me.
  14. Second stop, La Paz: Here we could find a smaller boat called Panga. We go after Dorado, and we catch a few of the trumpet fish, yellowtail, and dorados.
  15. a concise report of fishing in Mexico while on a cruise. I think it will be helpful for first-timers and entertaining for others. For the first time, we took the cruise as a family, and in each stop, we fished for whatever we could as fast as we could. We had three stops, and I am going to share a couple of pictures of each stop and a little info about it. First stop, Cabo: We decided to try our luck and aim for the best, which was Marlin(Available all year). We got a 30' boat for ourselves, and we chase them for 5 hours, but since we started in the afternoon, we couldn't catch anything but a good-sized Toro fish, which it was better than nothing, especially since it was a new fish for me.
  16. I use my Conquest 844C for that. I have 763 as well and I would use it if I want to cast it a country mile 😅
  17. @HawkeyeSmallie I have P5 siglet for your application and I paired that with Aldebaran BFS. Right side combo is the siglet and that's the lure I am using it for.
  18. I have the same rod that I purchased for $200 😅, And I paired that with TranX 300.
  19. I have it and it is very special reel with great performance. Highly recommend to get it if you want to enjoy BFS fishing. Depending on your place you can pair it with short glass rod for river trout style fishing or longer graphite rod for lake fishing. I have mine paired with AIRE (JDM handwrapped) glass rod 5'6" and I am using it on river/creek fishing.
  20. This is Bob, Our backyard Bobcat He usually showing up at night but sometimes we can see him in daytime. Screenshot of ring camera.
  21. I had an injury at work back in 2014, and the pain and its disabilities always stayed with me, and they affect my performance on the water significantly. Since then, I've leaned towards high-end tackle, and the main reason for that was the weight of my combo. On a normal bass-fishing day, I cast more than 500 times, walk and carry that combo around, and after 8 hours, one-ounce lighter tackle counts. So having that in mind I decided to create a new topic for us and other anglers to use as a source on Rods and reels' weight, Any of us can share the combos and rod or reel weight for others to help them choose their combo that planing to buy. Ill use my digital scale with accuracy of +-1gr and I prefer to use gr for more precise results. I start it with My latest BFS combo: Rod: Dobyns 650 BFS (99gr) Reel: Shinami Curado BFS (177gr) Spooled Total Combo Weight: (276gr)
  22. My 5th BFS rod combo, which I absolutely needed 😁, I paired that with a brand new Curado BFS reel with 18lb Seaguar JDM braid and 7lb Seaguar Fluorocarbon leader material. Ready to use.
  23. Oh Tom, I am so sorry and sad to hear that. I had pleasure to meeting him few times and I got very nice collections of lures from him and he acted like a mentor to me. A true fisherman with lots of history and credit under his belt. A trophy hunter and trophy bass angler. We Bassresource family lost a very important member today. I always brag about him since I knew him personally. I wish him rest in peace and wish the best for his family.
  24. Guys it been some times that I want to get roro BFS spool for my curado but despite the discount, it will cost about $120 with shipping from their website. Any suggestions if we can find it cheaper somewhere?
  25. Merry Christmas to you All specially @Glenn and all the admins that make this happened and gather all of us cool people on earth together.
