I am not very experience in bass fishing, I have 10 years of experience and this two helped me catch 15% of my LMBs. That is a lots of bass cotton cordell .5oz and drop to bottom and rip 45 degree very fast is my to go for when I want to catch to show off 😁.

Since I have hobby of buying used gear in bulk from fisherman who want to reel , I have some experience about selling reels. I always have Shimano reels go so fast within a day of listing if you just sell it less than $20 of price. I honestly never sold a Shimano that I purchased but I sold all my Abus and kept only two toro beast because we don't have a similar reel in Shimano line up except traX which is 400 size is equal to toro beast which is 300 size and also lower profile. In my idea most people buying Abu or kastking or lets for saving money or for design. Otherwise people might only buy Shimano and Daiwa. Thats purely my idea and I don't wish to upset anyone. I respect everyone choice and I am happy for what they happy with. I often save money to buy high end Shimano reel and I think it is worth the waiting in long run. When I start fishing in year 2015 after my devorce I bought a metanium dc 15, I can tell you I catch 100s of bass or other fish with it and today it is working like first day. I remember I had purchased couple of Abus sometime and in first year I needed to send them for service and they had to even change one of them and give me other one. That was it, I learned my lesson and I have about 50 or more Shimano reels mostly DC and I never tried other brands anymore. Please note my abus that I had issue with were high end Abu reels (spinning and casting) Almost same price of Shimano reels.

Today I was waiting for my appointment for bank and stoped by sportsman's warhorse and I saw lucky crafts are on sale for $5.79, Of course I got everything in the bin 🤣 Thats all left there LOL

Guys I am waiting for 2025 Aldebaran DC BFS Reel in mail and I want to buy a rod for it. I and not sure which ones is the best. Any taught? Or if you even think of other rod please. don't be shy and shoot. Of course money is no issue here. I want the best to pair with it. And since I have two shorter rods for my stream and lake fishing, I am looking for American style BFS rod. Thanks in advance

You have so many place like Hansen dam and Balboa park to fish small lakes. Also best place and my former lake Castaic lake and lake casitas.

I was bass fishing while waiting for trout bite and I tried everything for 11 yours and god knows how many casts, I tried everything bottom and middle and top and try different lure for each section, Speed fishing and slow fishing and dead sticking, NOTHING WORKS 🤣. Long time I didn't post, We were busy working and fishing and we had fire here that we needed to deal with. We were fishing every Friday to Sunday, This weekend we didn't go to deal with Tanks house(our Tortoise). Bass fishing was so tough so far but I do bass fish no matter what. Ill report that and condition under another post.

The only ABU I bought over Shimano was Beast 60 size for line capacity and drag power, Except that I would never choose ABU over Shimano.

I am fishing every weekend for trout and bass here in SoCal, If I were there I would go ice fishing and if possible deep sea fishing for fighting the withdrawal. Plus it is best time to change lines and complete the tackle and do study and stay more at Bassresource. I have same situation in dog days of summer in SoCal.

Sorry to hear that, What I can say I pray for you ad I am asking you to fight it and stay on water as much as you can. Ive seen people with the same news and They made it 13 years as of today and we are all happy about that. I know it is too much and overwhelming but somehow I know a person with your character (as far as I know you here), Very able to fight it and stay positive.
