I know most of the spots there, Let me know when you going and ill bring you right on spot I share always , But it is not cold really. and anytime I am there I always pray for little wind to get rid of mosquitos. If you are bank fisherman ill join you(or you can join me), but if you are boat owner I cant really give you any spots. BTW Bigbear water level is very low right now.

Couldn’t tell difference between my cheaper and more expensive rod….
For me it is day and night when I use my dobyns and my conquest, when I use dobyns after about 15 casts to 50 casts (depending on lure weight) I need to rest, But with my conquest I have record of 4 hours non stop casting same lure (ned rig and Texas rig), when I said non stop, I mean it . the reason for me is my hand injury that killing me when I use cheaper rods which they are heavier. the other factor would be when I am casting and sensitivity which is also day and night deferent, with high end rod you'll feel every gravel and rock and sand and mod you passing and when you getting bite you can feel it very much better. you know? Maybe you won't believe me but when I have braided line and I am passing any kind of grass,And that grass rubbing against my line I can feel the vibration of grass on my line by my rod.(when line is tight).

What Do You Do With Lures You Never Use?

Best trout rod
What I understand from your budget and place you going you need two set ups and I would go with any Walmart brands, They have combos like abs Garcia there only $20 and they will do the job, Only thing you need to do get $25 Seaguar 4lb invizX 200 yards spool and half and half and use 100 yards on each of your rod. Dont forget rod stands and bells. and remember in big bear yellow and chartreuse working great. You can PM me and I can help you a lot. https://www.walmart.com/search?q=spinning+combo&typeahead=spinning+combo&max_price=60&catId=4125 Check this list, and remember you need light or ultra light rod with 5'6" to 7'6" depends on you.

7 foot 3 medium spinning rod lures
you can use shaky head, And also small crankbait and jerkbait, Also plastics rip bait like flukes and so list go on. This rod and set up you make is very versatile and you have lots of options.

What percentage of American fishermen are bass fishermen?
What I have seen in SoCal More Saltwater, Then Catfish and carp and trout and at the end is bass fisherman. I myself do surf fishing twice and pier once a month. in trout season I do 4 days(day and night 24 hours non stop). But My love is for bass and I do bass fishing about 10 times in a month. So I am mix of everything. However I am agree with tom and ill go with 10% to 15% bass Fishermans and most of them are boat owners. We all know every bass fisherman will end up on a boat eventually.

10 or 12 lb Seaguar Tatsu? (NRX+ 842c MBR w/ Aldebaran MGL 50)
I use tatsu 10lb test on my Conquest 842c, And use 12lb test on my conquest 903c, Both of them have Antares 21 DC. In your case I would go with 10lb test tatsu.

Crankbaits - Deeper and Larger Profile
As bank fisherman I am not using so much of crank bait which is tricky and getting snag so much. But I use as I have opportunity of open water or in case I rent boat. It been few years I do only crank bait 16F pus, I use 6XD/10XD on boat as well, But usually I am Norman DD22 guy. That crank bait is one bass catching machine.

Best Bass Rod

FG knot experts, need opinions, advice…
Ill not call myself PRO by all means but it is 3 years I am using FG for all set ups fro 10lb test to 4lb leader to 130lb to 125lb test for my shark leaders, One of my rods is 40lb braid to 20lb and sometimes 16lb leader, I do 24 and while doing wraps I keep it really tight and I do clinch it then I do rizzuto finish, I use Fg knot tool to clinch it and it is looking really good. The picture is the one I told you, Its not newly wrapped FG but you can see after heavy use, How it is holding.

G.Loomis conquest vs new nrx+
I have Two 842/903/844/905, I love each of them, I use high end rods always and since I bought my first conquest, I cant think of anything else. I know NRX from before, They couldn't commit with conquest at all and you knew that specially when you set the hook on flipping or jigging, But now this NRX+ going neck to neck with conquest but with a very noticible price jump. I would never personally go for NRX Unless if they make M action which make good crank bait rod. But this NRX+ line is same as conquest, Even they dont have 905 in line up which is messed up.

Best US Domestic or JDM travel rods? Also JDM reel recommendations?

G.Loomis conquest vs new nrx+
Conquest Key Futures: 15% to 20% less material than traditional rod construction Increased torsional stability offers 20% less twist than traditional rod construction Reduced blank ovalization Fuji Torzite guides SIC Titanium tip G. Loomis custom ‘skeleton’ reel seat Designed & handcrafted in Woodland, Washington – Blanks rolled in Kumamoto, Japan NRX+ Key Futures: Spiral X graphite construction Multi-Taper Design reinforces potential stress points within the blank while reducing unnecessary graphite material Fuji Titanium SIC stripper guides Ultra-lite, ultra-strong RECOIL guides Custom CI4+ reel seat Handcrafted in Woodland, Washington -Remember Conquest is Lighter than NRX+ And here the Guides info that I think it can be important. Alconite is lighter than Sic, however not as hard. Torzite is not harder than SiC however is more resistant to impact and does not compress which makes it tougher. A SiC guide offers better abrasion resistance than Alconite, however is less abrasion resistant than Torzite. Anyways if you ask me, I still happy with my conquests and I think they are still the best.

Shimano Shaula 4 Pcs They have two M and MH. Best JDM Travel rod in my idea. I have one baitcaster paired with Metanuim DC 15 and all this years I had lots of fishing with it and The never let me down.
