  1. Conventional Cardif if you want to save money and calcatta Conquest. Also to just let you know you can go low profile with Shimano TranX300(thats the one I use for baits you mentioned), I never have any problem with 300 size.
  2. free version: I use normal medicine bottle, I use that for so long and no leak, just use the container with big cap or use hair remover like me to take them out.
  3. I wonder what kind of app you are using to get info on your river and stream fishing. Coz I have new interest to go after river small mouth while looking for trout.

  6. Texas Rig I dont use bead, But if you meant weighted Texas rig, YES I always use glass beads, Even they are pricy but ill buy smaller size that do the job as well.
  7. Wow you have brand new, I have some 300 and 500 in my collection I got from Tom. Got a number 4 and I have couple very small for trout, I need to give it a try.
  8. There was says that I didn't catch anything on any other color, Once I changed the worm to smoke color with same technique I got bites, So it is effective really specially when you have baitfish(shad) near shallow. Ive had wacky the smoke color and have good luck. and yes water was clear in all the time that I had good luck with smoke color.
  9. surprisingly it is the same in SoCal, But ill never give up and ill always try it for an hour early morning and an hour before night.
  10. agree with you, But also see the wire gage of it, If lower gage and thin hooks, you can still use 12lb test and also you can open the hook keeper brush by hand or even cut some off. for me I only use 1/4 with 12lb test.
  11. I use 12lb test tatsu for smaller jigs 1/4. Also if there is so many grass I use another set up have 40lb test maxquatro with 16lb test FC100 leader.
  12. I am in LA and I was looking for one around me, nothing there, Also you must have boat, Do you have boat?
  13. unfortunately I have no Daiwa, But I have all Shimano DCs. I am trying to do it with shorter rod (6'10") as well to make it easier.
  14. ATA replied to Jig Man's topic in Fishing Tackle
Anytime I get short strike I go crazy hahaha... always try wacky rig or Texas rig immediately.
  15. I never store my reel for long time, But always put the in cover in my Shimano reel bag and just bring them out night before fishing or if I drive long, ill bring them out at the lake and install them on rod, It is not keeping them safe also good for rods, It will have no pressure on rods. and this is my reel that I am using mostly. the rest are in another bag with my travel rods
  16. Honestly any top water.
  17. Let me clearify something for you, Braid is more sensitive when you have tight line, So fluorocarbon in general is more sensitive than braid, Despite that I am using braid to fluorocarbon for my jig rod. If you spool your braid tight, It won't dig in itself and you connection knot wouldn't be a problem unless you need to do it few times, Otherwise you can have it ready with good 7 feet fluorocarbon leader and you can change lure few times during the day. It is just my idea and I respect everyones decision just sharing the way I do it.
  18. Guys I must do it, I really need to learn it with bait caster, I always getting backlash or cant do it, Any tip and advice will be appreciated. ATA

I know most of the spots there, Let me know when you going and ill bring you right on spot I share always , But it is not cold really. and anytime I am there I always pray for little wind to get rid of mosquitos. If you are bank fisherman ill join you(or you can join me), but if you are boat owner I cant really give you any spots. BTW Bigbear water level is very low right now.
