I think if you dont reel it, they will all come to top, also smaller size hooks will help.
  3. Thats very exiting exprience.
  4. you can simply attach a loaner big enough to handle the weight of your net and attach it with zip tie or small braid line. just my idea.
  5. I use FG knot on all my lines and for 10lb test j-braid X8 to 4lb SeaGuar InvizX I use more wrap and dont forget to finish your FG with Rizzuto knot, I never had any problem with it since forever.

If you speaking of staging, Its the head shape matters, You need to choose the hybrid design that is like bullet shape, Ill try to find some and link it here. in my idea this is most snag free EWG Ned Head. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_Offset_Hook_Finesse_Jig_Head_4pk/descpage-GOHF.html
  7. Yeah I have a small cooler full of Hand made plastics that always carry with me when fishing, This binder is big enough to fit them in(it is really good size).
  8. Couple days ago I was looking for an outdoor umbrella for my car for fishing trips and I saw Walmart have them really cheaper than Amazon, I choose the one I like but it was about $9 delivery, So I look for another item to make it $50 and free shipping, So I came across this Berkley deal and it is very nice, Actually you can use all the items for sure. Just share the pictures the price was $30.
  9. Congratulations, I got skunked last 4 times.
  10. I have experience with both, They are not frog rods, You need a 6 power for frogging, specially you are here in SoCal. If you watch clips from pros on internet, they might tell you moderate action 5 power 7' to 7'4" with 40lb or 50lb braid. But honestly it will not work in SoCal, You need 6 power 8' fast action with 65lb test braid wit a solid body reel(I have curado DC). If you do that you'll enjoy casting that frog and setting hook big bass. Plus you dont want to spend so much on a frog rod, We all know that sensitivity have no place in frog fishing, I have lots of G-Loomis rods but my frog rod is Shimano curado.
  11. I use all black hellgrammite always. the always catch, I use them for bass and trout as well. I didn't catch big bass on them yet but smaller size bass I catch on it.
  12. I have done that, Not a fan really.
  13. I an sharing you my tackle box for stripers, Most of them are sebille. also big paddle tails: some with hook if you dont want so heavy:
  14. I have a lot from asian portal fishing , rod and reels, more than 10 of them over $700 and $800, They always shipped free with fedex and never paid extra payment. also I have Japan tackle and one other website few reels also more than $700 and they have send with DHL and FedEx and it was just last month(my two Antares DC 21), and again they didn't ask for any payment.

Congratulations , Best can ever happen. Great job big boy. Keep it up.
  16. Welcome to summer fishing in Cali, I use 1oz to 2oz to punch that, Also I use frog over it and use few small splitshot weights to make that frog heavier(put them inside from the little hole, it will make some sound also make it easier to effect the grass and make the bass to recognize it. also heavy jigs 1oz plus with very compact trailer. Thats three way I do it over here.
  17. I do San Diego jam knot(doubled the line while doing), I need best knot because of my expensive large swimbaits. https://youtu.be/WFMR0a4MZ8g
  18. Welcome to Bassresource.
  19. https://www.ebay.com/itm/334064501519?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28 here 6' Diver.
  20. Yes they surface time to time on ebay.
  21. Yup you getting there
  22. Every color, It depends where and when I am using it. but if you tell me you only can use one crank bait forever, it will be Norman DD22 dark blue. This one is magic, It catches fish everytime.
  23. Like most of people I got spider wire stealth 50lb from Walmart shelf because it was the only braid choice and I didn't have time to go and buy my power pro , It was 50lb and I use that for 3500 size backing for my spinning reel for ocean, It has some kind of wax that line was deemed in it and it was feel not clean, but after few use that wax wear off and it was the line only. Anyways when you have some other brand in market like power pro and seeguar smackdown or J Braid Or high end brands like Varivas, I dont think some other brand can compete with them.
