  1. I think like many of us, you are just becoming more well - rounded in different techniques and baits. Two years ago if you would have told me I would have been fishing a jig most of the time I would have thought you were crazy. I seem to be gravitating towards bigger baits myself. Started out with 3/16 jigs, now I use 1/2 oz. or bigger most of the time. Most of my spinnerbaits have went from 1/4 and 3/8 oz. to 1/2 to 3/4 oz. My average size fish have went up as well. Good Stuff!!!
  2. Got me!! Funny stuff. ;D
  3. I just made a big score on eBay last night and last week. NIB Alphas Ito AI for $216.50......wait, it gets better. NIB Steez 103H for $330.00 SCORE!!!! Nice reels Robert. Let me know how you like that Hyper Long Cast Zillion and how much better, if any, you like that 90 mm handle on that Steez. 8-)
  4. I have tried all kinds and own from the most exotic Japanese to the Wal-Mart brand and I still have to say that Terminator is still my favorite. They are hard to beat up and just plain catch fish.
  5. Tucson, I don't think you should be so hard on yourself. I know a guy that fishes strictly with larger splitshots when dropshotting. Believe me, he has no problem catching bass at all. Made me rethink my next purchase on dropshot weights. I have seen him boat 25-30 fish a day on this rig. I was right beside of him and not boating nearly as many using a tear-drop weight and the same worm. Something to think about. :-?

SCORE!!! You finally found some paddle tails. Post pics of the lunker that is in the near future.
  7. Randall, you are a fine fisherman. Always posting pics of fish that I dream about catching. Well done!!
  8. Nice fish Dan. Always a pleasure reading your post's. 8-)
  9. I came off the lake this evening and when I pulled out with the boat and turned my lights on I noticed my trailer lights wasn't working. The signal and brake lights were working but no rear trailer and side marker lights. When I got home I hooked it up to the wife's Envoy and everything worked fine. It's my truck!!! > What gives? Does anyone know if it is a fuse or maybe the wiring? I checked the wires on the truck and they seem okay, nothing is loose or appears to be cut. Do trucks have fuses for the trailer wire hookup? HELP!
  10. Big as a dinner plate Wolf Spiders. Can't stand those things and every year one some how manages to get in the house when it turns cold outside. The wife and I usually have a debate on who's going to get rid of it. She always wins. :-?
  11. Robert, you're getting to be quite the tackle junkie. I saw those too on eBay. Sweet!!! 8-)
  12. Don't feel bad man, I put up with the same thing all day. Left the lake with one hookup, just shy of the two pound mark. I hate days like this too but there's always tomorrow.
  13. Atta Boy!!!
  14. Welcome Aboard!!!
  15. I second that. I have two of them in the 1500 size. Great for dropshotting.
  16. Oh man, that would suck.
  17. What's the JDM version? I've seen that before, but don't know what it means? Is it the Japanese version?? Japanese Domestic Market, yes it is the Japanese version of the reel. If you decide to get an Alphas let me know and I can point you in the right direction. The Sol you can buy at just about any U.S. tackle store like BPS.
  18. Can you imagine in real life if that boat would hold the weight of that motor. Talk about a freakin' ride. I can see it now, "Hey ya'll, watch this!!"
  19. The monkey had stopped by the house today and delivered one of my orders by the front door. There is no end to the madness. :-[ Hi, my name is Blaine and I'm a tackleholic.
  20. FourBizz, I am the exact opposite of you. All of my baitcasters are Daiwa, all spinning reels are Shimano until recently, I have purchased two Daiwa spinning reels. Pretty hard to compete with the Stella's performance. I do like the Daiwa spinning reels for their weight, or lack of thereof. If I were to get a Shimano baitcaster I would probably purchase a Calcutta in a 50 size. I love little round reels. That thing is sweet and completely bulletproof.
  21. If you're looking for low profile without the gimmick get the Sol or the Alphas. They are both the same, the Alphas is just the JDM version. They are very low profile. I own both and the Alphas is much more comfortable to palm than the Viento. You will be pleased with the Sol or Alphas.
  22. One of these days I am going to head up to PA and catch a few of those toothy critters. We don't have that many around here. At least, not that I'm aware of. The wife caught one when we lived in NY and she was stoked!!
  23. Pretty bass. I like when they are that shade of green. I'm going to hit it tomorrow, it's supposed to rain all day. WOO HOO!!!
  24. I have had mine for over two years now and no complaints. It still looks brand new. The twitching bar has held up fine. I used it when I first got it for jigging paired up with a Kistler Helium 7' MH rod. I now have it on a Kistler Helium 7' M rod for fishing jerk baits and flukes. The twitching bar is cool when you're fishing a fluke but I don't use it for any other bait.
