  1. I'm gonna have somewhere in the ballpark of $350.00 for this trip. That includes gas down and back, gas for the boat, and camping fees. This has one stipulation, keeping me away from tackle shops on the way down. Wouldn't you know it, we are meeting up with the rest of the guys for the ride down at...yep, you guessed it, a large tackle shop. :-[
  2. Number 10 makes me very sick to think about.
  3. You sir have some nice equipment.
  4. Thanks for the video guys, great footage. I think Mark Davis is another guy I would like to spend the day with. BTW, what kind of video camera you guys using? Videos looking real good on my end.
  5. A little out of the ordinary but mine is a finesse rig. Liberto Pixy with 6 lb. fluorocarbon on a Kistler Helium LTA 7' medium action. I love that setup for light cranks and dropshotting. Just plain fun to fish with until you get four pounder or larger, then it's a blast to fish with. ;D
  6. Hooks getting caught together on a crankbait, it only takes a second to free them, it just irks me. Is irk a word? ;D
  7. This is the first one today huh? That's one hell of a fishing spot you have, you da man.
  8. I don't even know what to say man...Congratulations? Stay tuned folks, it always gets better from here. A real beauty Paul!! I would have perma-grin if I ever catch one like that.
  9. 6 trips in a row with 34-42 lb 5 fish limits. Gnarliest bass PALM i have ever had. I want pics!!
  10. I would like to have half of those reels on his boat. I think he would be fun to fish with for a day. Lots of enthusiasm!
  11. Believe me, I feel your pain. The worst months for me are between the last of November to the middle of February. After that, I start cleaning my reels, sorting my tackle, replacing hooks, just normal busy work to keep my mind off the weather. I'm just finishing up my last reel right now. I will organize all my tackle for the rest of this week unto the next and that should just about carry me into the first part of March. Come hell or high water, I WILL be on the lake then unless it's still frozen. Fingers crossed!! :-/
  12. First, I take the reel completely apart and put all of my bearings into a heated ultrasonic cleaner for an hour. I change the solution if needed and put them in for another hour. Second, I spin all the bearings on a small dowel to make sure they spin freely and not damaged. Bearings within the frame of the reel I usually put grease back into with this...http://www.heliproz.com/prodinfo.asp?number=169165 Bearings that have higher RPM movement such as spool bearings I put one drop of oil per bearing. Too much will hinder casting distance and make the inside of your spool assembly a mess. BTW, I wouldn't suggest taking your reel completely apart unless you have experience in that area. Lots of small parts inside can be easily forgotten where they go once you get it all apart. Make sure you have your reel schematic handy if you choose to do the work yourself.
  13. This might be one of the funniest things I have ever read. I'm still laughing and smiling as I type this.
  14. I thought it was a good movie too. It has a pretty good surprise twist at the end.
  15. I guess mine was a numbers day on the Greenbrier River with pontoons. It was rainy, overcast, and about 70 degrees. Perfect topwater weather for smallies. We did catch a fair amount of fish around the three pound mark but between my wife, brother, and myself, we boated over 300 smallies in an 8 hour float. It was absolutely crazy fishing, if one missed the buzzbait, another would grab it before you got it back to the pontoon. Lots of blowups the last ten feet!!
  16. Excellent!! I like Iaconelli's attitude this year. I wish he would have pulled it off, I guess Skeet was due. Thanks for the great video Glenn.
  17. I'll believe that when my crap turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbert. LOL...Super Troopers!

Awesome baits Marty. The silver-gray with the pearl coating, what color do you call that? I really like that color.
  19. Been wondering that myself. I'm gonna guess packing tape...I'm probably way off. Good job Dave!
  20. From what I can tell so far I really like it. The grease is super sticky and the oil has about the same consistency as Yellow Rocket Fuel. I also like the fact that everything I own now is not red. I used to get that Hot Sauce everywhere. :-/
  21. Not true, E21 makes Carrot Stix. The current Carrot Stix developer, Ken Whiting, used to design rods for the Airrus company.
