  2. Look at it this way Fourbizz, your reputation as well as many other big bass hunters on this board is well established. I think when you big bass gurus get doubted it is always by someone new. I don't think this thread has gotten a bit ugly. I think everyone has been more than civil in their postings. Everyone has just pointed out different things they have noticed on the photos. If HBA posted his catch and said, "Look at these fish I have caught over the past few years.", I don't think anyone would have said a thing. He had me fooled. Heck, I don't know what it's like in many states during the winter. I had no reason to question his post. Now, his integrity is lost. I for one have never had a reason to lie about my ability of catching fish. Some days I get it done, some days I go back to the house scratching my head. HBA, if you are reading this, these guys aren't out to get you. There is no reason to fib about when you caught them. Many guys on here including myself have never caught a DD bass. Be proud that you did! Just don't take us for a ride, that's all. BTW Fourbizz, great point on the splotch. You guys are good. 8-)
  3. You should have seen the first time I casted a Steez. It wasn't very pretty. Every reel is a little different, some even border on moody. :-?
  4. I used to skate a lot when I was younger (15 yrs. ago) and got that nickname because I always wore a ripped up Jimmy-Z tee shirt of some kind. It started out Jimzee79 and that was my football number when I played. I jumped on the name change bandwagon because jimzee is easier to type.
  5. I like that one!! Fatal attraction kind of thing. Been there, done that.
  6. Got around to doing a few reels this weekend. Found out a few interesting things. Not all reel mods are easy to do!! Some take a while. Liberto Pixy with ZPI Platinum 85mm handle upgrade w/ cork grips. Also installed ZPI SiC bearings inside and Carbontex drag washers. Daiwa Steez 103H with I'ZE Factory Carbon Weave 90mm handle. Also installed Carbontex drag washers. My newest toy, Daiwa Zillion 100p Crazy Cranker just got a 4 bearing upgrade in the handle grips. Now, smooth as butter. Also upgraded one of my Alphas 103's to SiC bearings and Carbontex washers, as well as installed two bearings in the handle grips. Here's a pic of em' all.
  7. It is probably one of those custom jobs a guy on eBay does. I think he is in the military and does it part time. Type in fiber optic eyes in the eBay search engine and you will get a few. The one you are describing is not on there now though.
  8. Kistler Spinner Bait Special 6' 9" Medium Heavy TDA 150 H 6:3:1 17 lb. P-Line CXX
  9. Beavers work period. I use them alone sometimes for flipping into heavy cover and I have also used them with success as a jig trailer. I have even used the smaller version (3") for smallies on river float trips. Pretty versatile bait. I bought a bunch like that from an eBay guy 2 years ago. I still have two huge bags (50) in roadkill color and copper color. I like the ones you have posted better because of the claws looking more realistic. Mine just have the little flaps. Nice new avatar pic BTW! That's a fatty!
  10. Uh-oh! Care to explain HBA? :-?
  11. I love those cork handles he uses. Pretty awesome stick there DG Rod Works. 8-)
  12. I am starting to see many advantages of balsa versus plastic. All of the cranks I have been buying lately have been balsa. I blame this on The Natural, Stringjam, Big M, Munkin, and Fivebasslimit. They have peaked my interest in the cranking world. Never realized before that cranking a place I would normally be fishing a jig could be so productive. Shame on you guys.
  13. Never even considered that. Good call.
  14. Always good to see the wives and girlfriends getting into fishing. 8-)

Nice to see ya back on the water. Keep posting pics, it gets me through the winter.
  16. Randall, you talking about the hanging plants on the porch that are green and not frost resistant or you talking about the fish being caught after 3:30 pm and the sun in the pic is casting a shadow directly overhead meaning sometime around noon.
  17. Same here. See ya there Long Mike. I'll be there with bells on.
  18. Fly fishing for giant Chilean brown trout in South America for one week and then stopping by for the peacocks the following week.
  19. Thought I would come and break this Shimano Posse gathering up a bit. You guys will hang out anywhere. Those DC's are indeed sweet reels. Calcutta would be one Shimano that I would like to have. I love smaller round reels. This one comes with power windows and heated seats.
  20. I think you done good. I'd fish it! Table Rock Shad color? 8-)
  21. Hawg Caller, a little off topic but had to say I clicked on your photobucket sig and wow. Truly some fine fish there sir and great pictures as well.
  22. Hookemdown, you took it like a true champ. You stood by the conditions of the bet and was a true gentleman about it. You are alright in my book. Troutfisher, remind me to never bet on anything against you sports related. Pretty cool gesture letting him out so early.
  23. Ya'll be safe. Stay inside.
