  1. Ain’t many on here that should answer this question and I sure as heck ain’t one Anyways we can cheers over that
  2. Magnum rage bugs, magnum uv speed worms, siebert shot caller swim jigs If you buy a shot caller jig, be aware you are getting a jig with a lighter wire. P.S I bought some spinnerbaits recently too. Love to see A-Jay’s. He is more generous than I am these days in showing what spinnerbaits I’m buying.
  3. 7/16 is less than 1/2 It’s okay I forgive you, even if your 3rd grade math teacher doesn’t 😄
  4. Hey swim jigs are not really being sold in weights greater than 1/2oz. Now a jig is a jig so nobody really cares. We can just use our other jigs and let them identify as something else i.e “You are a swim jig; you can be whatever you want to be.” But really what I’m wondering is if people use “swim” jigs over 1/2oz and what’s your deal on when you like to use them?
  5. Brewer Ultra Spider Heads + zoom finesse worm
  6. I rushed to pack, went the wrong way to the lake, and forgot the kayak seat. Too beat up to fish right now. Leaving until another day
  7. Most luck I’ve had in small bodies of water when water is 40 or below is with a small 1/4oz lipless crankbait. It gets really tough at those temps
  8. Jig Spinnerbait Zoom uv speed worm Zoom trick worm Lipless crankbait
  9. Gearing for first trip fishing in TX this year and only the third trip total this year. Tomorrow evening Weather was been great
  10. I think it was Lake Murray last year where some competitors would not even make a cast until they spotted bass blowing on herring to achieve the 2-3sec window
  11. I found the same thing when I purchased frames from Nichols. The benefit, however, was that I built them with hildebrandt blades and sampo swivels and my choice of skirt for about $10 a piece. The highest end components possible
  12. Still prefer the old site but I am now in a place with A-Jay where I don’t really care what it looks like, just keep the discounts and sales going and keep the shipping times reasonable. They’ve been doing great recently.
  13. Uncommon bourbon from Springfield, Missouri, or something 🤘🏻
  14. Usually if I am not catching anything for extended periods of time, I trend towards thinking that I am fishing nowhere around where good numbers of bass are. I'll switch up my areas and approach until I get bit. Same goes for if I am only catching small ones.
  15. You know that thing where you cast perpendicular to the wind with a bottom bouncing bait expecting to catch something? Yeah that thing doesn’t work for me. If the wind is 13-17mph, I really should just Jimmy Houston it because in the back of my mind I know I can catch a few on spinnerbaits and they might be really nice fish.
  16. I don’t consider Coverts a budget spinnerbait but they are nonetheless some of my favorites. Slap a sampo swivel on one and they are machines.
  17. In the same boat. Might be trying em soon. If so I will let y’all know
  18. Anybody get around to trying it yet?
  19. I believe Dirty Jigs was recently acquired by Nichols Lures, which could be the reason for the discrepancy Dirty Jigs makes good jigs. Siebert’s makes good jigs. Oldham makes good jigs. E-factor makes good jigs. Lots of great options.
  20. If the environment/ecosystem/*insert some scientific word* is not right, larger bass will not be there. I like plastics and swim jigs in small ponds along with some other things. If the forage is larger, a larger bodied plastic creature or worm may help Ponds are not rocket science. Easy places to fish.
  21. Member @Catt often recommends relatively inexpensive spinnerbaits. Humdinger, Stanley, and Johnson Beetle Spins are all great options. I have expensive taste in spinnerbaits $10+
  22. Just ordered the same. I’d been eyeballing the Ichi and your comment convinced me to buy. I love that color too.
  23. I have some standby worms which include Zoom Ultravibe Speed Worm and gambler equivalent Zoom mag 2 Zoom trick Zoom magnum trick Zoom finesse Zoom magnum finesse Zoom Ol Monster Zoom magnum ol monster You get the idea I may try some Mister Twister offerings or may explore pitching 6” and 7” senkos with a bullet weight
  24. Well, in all seriousness, I appreciate the word of caution
