  1. Feel that I’m showing my youth here… Isn't priority mail option through Tackle Warehouse USPS, not UPS? I submitted a USPS mail hold for a new place that Im moving into since I won’t be there for a bit… and I want to take advantage of the TW sales while they last. My idea is that if I ship through USPS, they will hold the package until the date that I set on the mail hold. Will this work?
  2. In another universe I’m pretty sure I’m married to that lady working the gas station register
  3. The National Sleep Foundation does not approve of my habits. I will try to make up for sleep that I miss, but it does not always happen. That being said I slept for 10.5 hours last night and almost feel like a million bucks
  4. From the day I started fishing at age 16 it became really clear to me that this was going to be my main hobby. When I get too much free time, I will nose dive very deep into this stuff and won’t care about too much else. It’s sort of dangerous. I’m at least encouraged that when I need to work, I can set fishing aside. I will likely never lose interest, though.
  5. Oldham Eye Max Jig is a good grass jig Oldham Trailer Hitch Jig is my favorite all purpose jig
  6. I’m afraid they may have thinned the weedguard on them recently, along with the Hack Attack Jigs. Not a fan of that. I was getting hung a little more than usual. It may be time for me to look for an alternative. In the past, they stood head and shoulders above all other micro jigs just because of that sweet hook and thick guard.
  7. Really enjoyable but unremarkable day fishing today. Caught a few tiny dinks, losing a 2lber(ish) due to bank landing difficulties. I had many more bites as well, but I believe some were just small or bluegills. I’m away from home right now and just have a bit of gear. Swimming a bitsy flip jig proved to get a surprising number of bites and otherwise a shaky head with a magnum finesse worm was effective.
  8. 15lb big game is good line for jigs. Dropping to 12lb can be effective depending on hook gauge and cover. I also like 18lb Sunline Sniper quite a lot for most jig uses.
  9. Everywhere I go, spinnerbaits catch bass and big ones. They can be used any time of year and in any water condition
  10. @RipzLipz I gotchu Those thumper spinners look gnarly dude. Keep us posted how they do!
  11. Tough to think about an entire year and the possibilities. Work-related this will be my busiest year by far so finding time to fish will be difficult. I will set my prediction at a conservative 7lbs +/- 0.5lb. I am still in TX… albeit central TX, so anything can happen.
  12. I have 30 booyah covert spinnerbaits and a whole bunch of rage tail on sale in the cart right now. Somebody buy this stuff out of stock so I cannot purchase, please.
  13. *Stares in Texas confusion* I will look! Fishing this weekend 2 times and I feel like sharing! I am not at home though
  14. What the heck. That TW sale is nuts
  15. @soggyturf I will also second a senko-style bait. I prefer the original Yamamoto Senko. I fish them weightless Texas-style. Let it sink to the bottom on slack line and then retrieve by slowly sweeping your rod tip upwards. Let it sink again and do not reel the slack until it is on the bottom again. Continue for desired distance or all the way back to you. This method is effective for me down to the absolute coldest water temperatures in small ponds. I will sometimes pause for 20 seconds or more while it is on the bottom.
  16. Oh heck no. Yeah man, take some time off. Organize your tackle or maybe get some more. Do some chores around the house. Make some nice warm chili.
  17. That’s ol muddy when it is actually muddy. Although I prefer clearer water, I’m fine with muddy water with one exception. Muddy + cold water = might as well do something else because I ain’t catching. If the water is anywhere near 40 degrees, forget about it. @Team9nine’s situation with muddiness occurring rapidly is also one of my least favorite scenarios.
  18. Aha I can help iRod Genesis III Harold’s Lone Star Special 6’9” medium heavy but leans toward medium. Fast, soft tip. Extremely versatile, accurate rod.
  19. @N Florida Mike hey, that’s my shirt
  20. I understand! 😎
  21. @T-Billy have you totally transitioned over to full time musky fishing?
  22. Why so large for the front colorado? Looks like that small willow is going to be starving for pressure.
  23. The trend with last season was if I think I’m going too heavy, go heavier. I think that has a lot to do with where I fish, but I really respect heavy jigs and weights
