when i got mine they did have a strong chemical smell, haven't smelled them since. I tried fishing them on an unweighted screw in frog hook and all it did was spin in circles. I haven't tried a weighted hook yet but I have bought some since. I did buy some poor boy's silly rabbits and those things swim pretty good except they kind of do a 2/5 roll from side to side. But they will probably work, but I would rather they swim more like a crank bait with a wobble. I am really eager to try the berkley hollow body swim baits but I can't find the color I want in stock anywhere.

so what exactly is the difference they look exactly the same except one is bigger.

I just bought a 35 gal. fish tank and have to go pick it up from my parents house on saturday. I have two 4" bass and 3 1.5" bream to put in my tank. I have been keeping them in a big cooler for the past week and I am very anxious to get them in the fish tank this weekend. I got them about 50 minnows on Monday and all but about a dozen and a half are gone. I'll post some pics when I get it all set up.

On Saturday I went to my spot and cast netted some shiners and I got about 1.5 dozen and my buddy went to a spot to try and get a few extra shiners for the trip. He only got one but man was it huge. Picture to follow. So we went to a catch and release lake in Lake County called wildcat lake and when we were on our way to our spot we noticed another boat fishing shiners in our spot and they were killing them. We saw them catch at least 8 bass in about 1 hour. We ended up getting two on the day with no real size to any of them. Our best was about 3.5lbs and another was only 2lbs but it was a nice day to fish and we had a good time anyway. I really want to show off the size of this shiner my buddy caught on a bread ball. This thing would have been a keeper in a bass tournament. This thing was at least 12 inches if not 14". This thing was huge. Here is a pic. Has anybody ever fished with a shiner this big, or even seen one this big. Just for a size reference My buddy is 5'11" about 190lbs.

I would try the east side of the lake and the North West side of the lake near the powerplant. The bass seem so congregate there after the spawn. But if you decide to go to the powerplant you better get there first because there will be alot of other boats going there as well. I know black trick worms work well in those areas as well as junebug.

unless you are getting a big boat you really shouldn't need a transmission cooler. I have a 97 1500 with 150k on it. I have had the tranny rebuilt about 2k. Other than that it has just been regular maintenance. Don't rebuild the tranny until it goes out on you. Just get AAA. You never know the tranny might last another 50k miles. My dad had a old 1500 that had over 300k and is still running today even tho he sold it. I still see it around town every once in a while.

Sometimes mine is really quick on vist and sometimes it is really slow, but it is usually slow on my Home machine and my Work machine and they both run XP Pro.

I just ordered a pack of berkley jerk shads in arkansas shiner, a pack of poor boy's silly rabbit golden shiner swim baits, and a pack of owner 5/0 1/8oz hooks. Has anyone ever fished the berkley jerk shads with the eyes on them. I think they look amazing. I usually fish the Bass Assasin jerk baits but just had to try one of these.

I would suggest getting a Canon Powershot model camera. I have an old 3.1 mp canon powershot and it still takes great pictures and pretty decent video also. They are always the best rated cameras in consumer reports. They might cost a little bit more but they are worth it. They also use an SD card are pretty cheap. I got 1gb sd cards around christmas time at Big Lots for $8 each. I bought 4.

I am having the same problem with mine. I cannot get them to run straight. What hook is recommended for this lure?

I call 'em key chain bass, because they would look good hanging on a key chain.

I can't believe some of you are bashing berkley frenzy. I use thier ratl trap and they are awesome. Never had a lipped crank from them. Also they are coming out with some really nice looking swim baits.

the aluminum and the wind don't bother me at all. The only thing I have ever fished in was aluminum and when I was younger exclusively on the flats.

has anybody received their 5 for 5 yet? If you had what did you get. I am still waiting on mine. Hopefully it will arrive soon it has already been like 6 days.

Catt so is this the hydro dynamic or hyper lift hull. The boat I have now does really really poorly in rough water but we still make it. This boat is an old 14'6" Grumman with a 35hp. This is the wettest boat you will ever fish in and leaks like hell. This boat has to perform way better than my boat now. Also my boat now is very heavy for an aluminum boat because of the decking that is in it. It still runs about 25-27 mph gps.

I fish there often, and the Bass fishing can either be on or off. I have had some amazing days on that lake. One thing you have to look out for is whether or not the army corp of engineers has done any spraying lately, meaning trying to kill off the hydrilla. Right now I would look for hydrilla mats in open water and fish the edges. Also you need to watch out for the Speck fisherman as this time of year the can be really thick on the lake. I would fish a lot of topwater in this lake as I have done really really good fishing topwater in this lake. Have fun and enjoy.

I found a boat that looks like a really good deal, I still have to go check it out and do a water test. Of the people on here that have an Xpress boat or have fished from an xpress boat what are your opinions on them. How is their construction and materials. Do they hold up well? How well do they handle rough water? The boat I found is a 1998 Xpress 16' w/ a 1998 40hp Yamaha motor with a side console for $3000. I might be able to go look at this boat on Sunday so I would like some input on the construction and quality of these boats. I have heard that they are really well made boats but would like some opinions from the members on here. Thanks in Advance Here are some pictures.

I make my own anchors. All you have to do is have some quickcrete, a 4"-6" diameter Piece of PVC pipe, an end cap and loop bolt. Mix the crete pour it in the pvc pipe with the end cap on then insert the loop bolt and there you go you have a really cheap anchor that works really well.

I really the BPS XPS cranks they are good quality and have always run true out of the box. I mainly fish those and mann's cranks, but I would prefer BPS. Does anyone know who makes the BPS cranks.

First off you need to think about whether or not you are going to be happy managing a restaurant. You have to think about when you will have to work at a restaurant. You will have to work weekends and nights since nights and weekends are the busiest time for restaurants. Also if you are making 45k a year managing a restaurant ask them how many hours a week they work. You are probably looking at around 60 to 70 hours a week not fun. You say you like fitness so major in a sports fitness related field. You could be a personal training and be a nutrionist. You have to expand your thoughts and think what you can do not what you don't want to do. I dreadfully hated college alos but I liked computers and ended up getting a degree in Management Information Systems and now I make a good living and enjoy my job on most days and fish on the weekends. I think that is all you can ask for.

I just placed an order and added a couple of other things. I don't even care if the lures are crappy colors. It is gonna be like christmas opening up the box and finding out what you got. For five bucks it's worth the excitement. You never know you might catch you PB on one of those lures, all lures will eventually catch something.
