  1. YOu will be fine in stick marsh, just use caution, and only run in the canals and wear your pfd it can get really rough on a windy day. DD stick marsh bass, see avatar pic.
  2. I have had no problems with it and actually like it a lot. I use the #20 to throw crankbaits that I don't want to dive as deep. I have never been broken off.
  3. This is the first I have seen of them. They don't have them at the two closest wal-marts to me but they do have them at one about 30 minutes away. When I go to my parents house this weekend I am going to buy one if they have the length and action I want.
  4. I saw those the other do at the Wal Mart near my house and was thinking they looked and felt really nice. If I can get back to the wal mart this weekend I'm going to pick one up. I need an extra rod anyway. I will probably get the 7' MH to use as a flipping rod and exchange my Flipping rod for a shiner rod. I will post a review after I use them. I had a FLW rod about 5 years back. It was shiny silver and was a pretty good rod until I broke a tip off on it. I still have the rod but it is only about 5'10" long.
  5. Never heard of those before, can you post a picture of what they look like on a lure.
  6. I personally prefer MK because of the composite indestructible shaft, I have run into so many things with my motor and the shaft really is indescructible. I was running on high in the stick marsh a few years back and just creamed a stump in the water, everything was fine.
  7. Honestly I believe that pflueger makes the BPS bc reels. They are almost identical to the BPS reels. Take a look one day. Go for the cheaper reel.
  8. Go to Stick Marsh it is an incredible fishery. I last fished there two years ago in an unbelievable front passed the night before, morning 35 degrees and warming to about 45 with winds out of the north at about 20 - 30 mph and we still caught 10 between the two of us. The day before it was pretty nice and we caught about 30 - 40 fish. If you are worried about tearing up your boat idle to the channels and only run in the channels. It takes a while to idle but you won't have to worry about tearing up your boat.
  9. try to slide some shims under the base of the mount, this may solve your problem or I may have misunderstood your problem.
  10. most all bodies of water that hold water all year long most likely have some type of fish in them. Unless the whole water column freezes in the winter. Down here in florida just about anything with water will hold some kind of fish.
  11. I agree on the rick clunn bps reel my buddy has one and he absolutely loves it. Me on the other hand, I strictly use BPS extreme reels. I have some older ones and some newer ones and have never had a problem with any of them. I do throw one older quantum energy and that thing is pretty sweet. Defenitely pick up a BPS extreme combo.
  12. Yeah it was a little chilly last night, I think it got down to about 60. Today is going to be a high of about 80 and it was 85 two days ago. I LOVE Florida, I can fish all year. I love going up north once a year around christmas to see snow and family, but being iced in would completely drive me insane and don't think I could ever live there. It gets hot here but I can still function in the heat, but the cold just makes you move slow.
  13. I personally think it sounds like a good idea to me. If I wasn't scared of wild snakes I came across one I would probably try. I would bet that it works too.
  14. I was thinking the same thing. You at least have to give it a try. I've fished retention ponds before, sometimes there are fish sometimes not.
  15. This bag is amazing, I've had mine for probably 3 seasons now and I have not had any problems with it. It hold everything I need. 3 extra spools of line, shiner bobbers, 3 very small boxes I have weights, panfish tackle, and then panfish hooks. I put extra packages of worms in the back pouch. It has a waterproof pouch on the inside of the top flap. This bag is amazing. I had the 800 series and I grew out of it really fast, so I sold it to a friend.
  16. One of the best ways is find someone with a similar boat in bottom width, length, beam, construction, and side height and base it off of that.
  17. 10-2 from the world famous stick marsh on a large wild shiner. see pic in avatar.
  18. yeah you have to take off the front prop and tweak the back. I usually put a larger hook on the back also using a split ring. The las devil's horse I bought I put both props on the back, with one prop bent a little forward and the other bent a little back and the splash on this is awesome. I only fished it for a little while this past weekend but the action was amazing.

I'm not supposed to guess but I think that is also a Bagley's lure. I remember seeing those in the clearance bin at Gander Mtn. It may not be but the eyes totally say bagleys to me.
  20. Favorite and most productive is the Smithwick Devil's Horse. I am actually really surprised there aren't more responses for this. In FL. they are really popular and they produce. Won our Club Classic fishing one of these all day. That was the only lure I threw all day.
  21. I'm in the club, i'm not even sure what year my boat is. It doesn't have a hin number and i think it is an old sears and roebuck 12' jon. It leaks quite a bit with two people in it but we can both stand up and fish comfortable, which is a lot better than sitting down for 6hrs in a canoe.
  22. Hey guys I found this trolling motor for sale and i'm in the market for a new one. Has anybody used this motor before or one close to it. It is going to go on a 16' aluminum boat with a 35hp engine on the back. My old motor was a 28lb thrust and had plenty of power for my small light weight boat. How is the performance and steering of this model. Here is a pic.
  23. those are hilarious. I don't even know how you could do some of those things. Especially the one with the boat.

Jimzee you are correct it is a Bagley spin tail bang-o-lure
  25. I haven't had the chance to fish the swim baits I have but I am going to give them a real good fishing if I can get out this weekend. Hopefully I can pull out my pb, another DD.
