  1. we are wasting a lot of gas here in florida then. Along a lot of our interstates it is 70 mph, which means a lot of people are going 80 - 85. I usually keep my cruise on the interstate at 76.
  2. Your mileage is all going to depend on how you drive it. I have a 1997 GMC Yukon 4X4 with a 350 and do mostly around town stuff and I get at least 15mpg. I drive the speed limit or 5 over, accelerate smoothly, brake or coast when I see a red light in the distance. If you only pull at 59mph you should get at least 20mpg with V6. The other thing with the lifetime warranty is, i'm pretty sure you have to get the truck serviced at the dealer, this can be a big cost with the service intervals of like 15,000 30,000, 60,000 etc. etc. Some of those maintenances can run in the thousands of dollars. Just something else to think about.
  3. last I checked they were 17' bass trackers with a fake outboard and yes electirc only.
  4. I did ask, but the guy in the Sporting Goods section didn't know how wide the distribution would be. You might be able to ask the sporting goods manager to put some on his next order and you might be able to get some.
  5. I purchased one of these rods last sunday after a day of fishing. The rod seems to be pretty nice. I picked up the 7' Medium Action Fast. It is a pretty light rod. The rod has 9 guides and seems to be pretty good quality. It is defenitely lighter than my BPS Extreme rod. I'm going to try it out this saturday during my fishing tournament. I'll try to post some pics.
  6. I emailed Minn Kota Last Night and this is the response I got. Scott, The gauge that comes off the motor is 10 gauge, if you're going to extend the leads and it is going to be longer than 6 feet you will need a 6 gauge wire if it is not going to be longer than 6 feet you can stay with a 10 gauge wire. 7. *** sells the same bait under the ABT brand for a few dollars cheaper if I recall correctly.

My dad had a 1982 Chevy Custom Delux with about 330,000 miles on it when he sold it to a friend about 4 years ago maybe more and then his friend sold it and I still see it around town every once in a while. It has to have at least 360,000 miles on it now. Original Motor, Original Transmission. Chevy Straight 6. Awesome truck, went on a lot of fishing trips riding in that truck with no AC.
  9. I would really like to thank everyone that has responded to my questions, I have learned a lot. I was originally going to probably use a 10 guage wire and splice between but now I'm going to use a 8 guage and extend about 6 feet so I can reach my battery this weekend when I bow mount this particular TM. Again thankyou to everyone.
  10. they are open ended and make it so I don't have to unscrew the wing nuts on the battery all the way to uhook the trolling motor. I know that is a stupid reason. Also I want to keep the wire guage the same. I will probably go with only on splice and put on new u shapes connectors. Some on said the original wire guage is 10, is that true how do I find out. I want to get the same size guage.
  11. Here is my plan in a picture. Is this a bad Idea.
  12. One more thing i'm probably only going to lengthen by about 6 feet. I'm going to be cutting the wire about 12" above the original connector and splicing in between there, becuase I really like the original connectors. Is this a bad idea.
  13. thanks guys. If I'm going to use the Minn Kota guide how do I find my amp draw for my motor. Like I said in my first post, my motor is a Endura 46lb thrust bow mount trolling motor about 3 years old.
  14. I need to splice my trolling motor wires to make them longer. What guage wire should I use? My trolling motor is a Minn Kota Endura 46lb thrust transom mount trolling motor.
  15. look up and call turkey lake in orlando, you can rent boats from them for I think $15 a day and the lake is supposed to be a very good lake, but you better call now they are usually booked up.
  16. I can understand being ticked about the quality issues but keeping receipts is a priority, especially for something that costs that much. You can't really ***** about the 109 90 day price thing.

Most stuff on ebay is no longer a deal, it is just like buying from amazon.com.

I agree I almost never fish a worm less then 10", and have caught bass smaller than or the same size as the worm, you will not have a problem getting the fish to get the hook.
  19. I don't have any problems with the ad but, I believe there is a program that stops all flash on a website from displaying. I'm not sure what the program is called but if you do a google search you will probably be able to find it. By the way what type of trouble are you having with the ad, is it the bandwith or slow computer, do you need to update your flash player?

Why would someone pay $222 for a early 80's Minn Kota 28lbs Thrust bow mount foot control Trolling Motor plus $27 Shipping for a total of $249, when you can go to walmart and get a 40lbs Thrust Bow Mount Trolling Motor for $319 just makes absolutely no sense to me. Here is a link to the ended auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=250228851525&rd=1
  21. I'm from florida and don't pay too much attention to it but I have never used a hand controlled TM. I agree it is hard to fish with one hand on the TM, although my legs do get tired from standin on leg all day when fishing tournament. I will be using a Hand Control this coming weekend for the first time. I broke my steering cable on my TM and it is too old and Minn Kota no longer makes the parts for it, so I am going to rig my transom mount TM to work with the bow mount. I am probably going to use some kind of styrofoam to hold it in the bow mount, turn the head around and hopefull it will work ok. I guess we will see.
  22. Thanks guys I usually throw the Eagle Claw Wire Guard Hooks with this set up.
  23. I was wondering what type of hook everyone uses for a Wacky Rigged Senko? I usually throw mine on a 3/0, 4/0, or 5/0 weedless kahle live bait hook. If you use a regular EWG hook how weedless have you found it to be. I like to fish my wacky rig real slow and just kind of let it sink.
  24. Why would anyone protest at a funeral. Can't these idiots think about the family and friends and not make the funeral a circus. I don't support the war but I support the troops. This would be a very insensitive thing to do to the family and friends. You should shoot them with paintballs.
  25. It was summer but I have fished during a rain storm and absolutely tore them up. As soon as the rain stopped the bite stopped. Also this was on a very clear lake.
