  3. I didn't have a title when I got my boat and I told them there wasn't a HIN on the boat. So the lady told me that jon boats made before 1980 didn't have HIN. She said to leave and go have lunch and come back tell her that the boat was made before 1979 so she could make a new title and no problems since. Got a new title and registered the boat. Try to go that route just tell them the boat is really old, they didn't even want a picture of mine, from like 1973 and you should be good to go.

HP capacity - tiller 35 hp / 26kw I am trying to decide which of these two boats I should purchase. I have a trailer already and a 35hp Evinrude Outboard to push the boat. The All Welded R1652VT is going to cost around $3,000 plus tax tag and title, and the 1652MT will probably be around $2,000 but I still have to price that one. How long can I expect the rivets in in the 1652MT to last without leaking? Is the welded really that much better than the riveted. I like the riveted because there is more room for mods. Also how much is the difference in the hull guage going to affect the boat in general. Thank you in advance.
  5. is there anyway to submit these videos online.
  6. Down here in florida you can pick these rods up at Wal-Mart. I bought one probably 4 or 5 years ago a 6'6" MH and I have loved it since the day I bought it. I don't use it much anymore, but only because it is my spinnerbait rod and I don't throw many spinnerbaits, but I did catch two key chain bass on it yesterday throwing a BPS Bleeding Tennessee Shad crankbait.
  7. I don't know about the bowfin up north but the ones down here in the St. Johns River have absotuletly no fight to them. They may fight for a couple of seconds and then they just kind of lay there and you reel em in hold them against the side of the boat and cut em up, get the hook or cut the line and watch them sink to the bottom bleeding waiting for the gator to eat em. I have caught 8 - 10lb bowfin on 4lb line fishing for bream with crickets and they still put up no fight. FLORIDA FISHERMEN AGAINST BOWFIN! LETS START A REVOLUTION.
  8. I should have a bought a Berkley Lightning Rod they had 7' casting rods for $20 and it never hurts to have an extra. I put a few things back to.
  9. I was looking at these today at BPS and honestly they look like they are made by the same company.
  10. So I finally found a weekend to go to BPS and feed the bait monkey. I spent almost $100 on tackle only no rods or reels. Here is what I picked up. 1. 3 20 packs of BPS Stick-o's 2. Pack of Spinnerbait Skirts 3. Storm Wild Eye Suspending Swim Bait 4. 2 Pack of Berkley Realistix Jerk Shad 5. Pack of Culprit 10" Worms 6. New Devil's Horse 7. 1 shallow, medium and deep Crank Bait 8. 25 Pack of 3/0 Hooks 9. 5 pack of 5/0 hooks 10. Pack of Baby Brush Hogs 11. Pair of StyleScience Sunglasses 12. 24 pc. Jig Head set for Panfish 13. Spool of Berkely Big Game 12lb 14. Some Powerbait Scent Probably a couple more things but I can't remember them now. It was a great day.
  11. I personally only fish Berkley Frenzy Ratl traps. They have a best shape and catch the most fish for me. Never like the Bill Lewis traps, but I haven't tried the rapala or the S.k. but would still get the berkley frenzy.
  12. link doesn't work for me.
  13. Now that you mention it I dreamt that I was in the boat with KVD in bassmaster tournament and he was cathing a lunker and he jumped in after it, after it got caught on a log, but he didn't keep one hand touching the boat like IKE did that one time trying to get the line that broke on a fish. He lipped the fish and played around with it for a while and then had to let it. It was really weird and fresh in my mind but still all the details are really foggy, but that is what most dreams are like. It was really really weird, and made me upset that KVD would do something stupid like that.

I usually wear sandals. I have a pair of rugged shark sandals the most comfortable sandals ever and they are made for the water.
  15. does any one know where you can buy a 1/4lb spool of the cast. I can only ever find it in the 300yd spools. I have been using the lightning and it just doesn't work well on my spinning reel.
  16. frank's red hot is by far the best tasting hot sauce, not that hot but man it tastes good and it makes the best wing sauce. Just mix with some butter flavored oil and you are all set.
  17. the best tasting batter ever is very easy to make. Take some pancake batter and make it a little thick. Dip fillets in batter place in 325 degree oil and fry for 3 minutes flip and fry for 3 minutes. Remove and eat. Very sweet batter tastes amazing.
  18. I haven't done much programming but I am in the IT profession and I haven't done any C++ programming but I have done some of this in java and I think it would be easier in javascript and it could be published on the site as a java applet. Just my thoughts. I have also done some PL/SQL programming, but I was never very good at starting code but I was reasonably proficient at modifying it and creating new code for existing code.
  19. I also have been throwing these for a couple of years and they work great. I have been throwing the one with the purple back. I caught one on this bait on saturday.
  20. Not to steal the thread but how long after a front do you consider it to not be post front conditions?
  21. thanks for the cold front tips. I also have a tournament on saturday and hopefully the water and weather will be stable enough by then that I won't have to resort to post cold front tactics.
  22. Not sure if you have gander mountain in your area but, certain guide series reels are made by Pflueger. I got one about a year and a half ago and it has been great. It is the exact same reel as the pflueger presidente but without the wood handle knob, and they go for about $40. Might have a hard time finding them though, they are never in stock at the gander mtn by me. The reel clerk says they sell out of them as soon as they get them in.
  23. I am going out fishing here on 3/1/2008 and wanted to know what the water is like in Lake Woodruff and Lake Dexter. How is the hydrilla? Has it been sprayed recently? What are you guys catching them on? Where are the fish bedding on the Lake? Any information would be appreciated. Thank You.
  24. I have had on for about 4 years that I bought as a combo with a BPS extreme GT reel. It is a 7' MH action and is the best rod I own. I use it for my unweighted worm and soft jerk bait rod. It is by far my favorite rod I own. I don't own any high priced rods. This rod is light and has very good sensitivity. I'm not sure if this was before shakespeare bought all-star, that could make a difference. I would say it is a great rod for the price.
  25. instead of a locking hitch pin just buy a regular hitch and get the screw in type lock. You can find them in the boating section at walmart. I have used one since the day I bought my truck. The best thing is you can't cut the lock.
