looking for a good baitcast reel but low budget.
I bought a sliver max from ff0-tackle.com for like 35.00 plus $5 shipping. They don't always have them in stock but when they do they are a really good deal.

Everstart Maxx Marine Battery
The battery problem was my fault I think I got a cross arc somehow with my jon boat. I guess $65.00 isn't that bad.

Everstart Maxx Marine Battery
So I went to Wal-Mart today to exchange my battery because somehow my negative wing nut welded itself to the post. The battery still worked but I couldn't tighten down on my trolling motor connector. So I have had my battery for 20 months and the Maxx Marine has a 18 month free replacement warranty. Becuase I was two months out of warranty I only got a grand total of $12.00 off my replacement battery. I was kind of ticked. I'm just ranting.

Garcia Silver Max baitcast??
I bought one of these and I'm actually pretty disappionted with it. I'm going to take it apart this weekend and try to get it working better again. I would buy a BPS Extreme bc reel.

Fixing a leak
get some of the paint on or spray on can bedliner and just cover the whole bottom of the boat as well as the rivets that are showing on the inside. This worked really well for me, but has to be reapplied about once a year.

Is this motor worth anything?
I guess if you had the money, but I would put my 1978 35hp evinrude up against any new motor in terms of reliability.

What Ever Happened to "Be on the Lake at Sun Up?"
My Dad always had me on the water before sun up and I am always on the water before sun up. That is the way it is supposed to be. If you aren't there early enough to use the boat lights you are late. Early to bed early to rise.

Is this motor worth anything?
I don't get it, why not spend a few hundred fixing up the old motor. You are buying the same HP motor. New is nice but old outboards just flat out work. I have an old 35hp evinrude 1978 I think and wouldn't trade it for a brand new one. Just my opinion I guess.

Digital Camera
The Canon Powershot series cameras are the way to go. Any of the powershot cameras are the best for your money. tons of features and still really easy to use. Batteries last a long time also.

How much water if any
I think we need a little more info. Are you in a glass or aluminum boat? I am assuming aluminum but you never know.

Any Drywall finishers?
I have never finished drywall but I have hung a lot of drywall and have never used a nail. Everything that goes up now is screwed. I would remove the nail and replace with a screw and just mud over top. You won't have any problems with a screw.

just got a boat... now what!?
Use google earth and find likes around your area. Go first without the boat and scope out a spot to launch the boat. Bring a pole to fish from shore for a few minutes. The next morning take the boat out and just go for it. You will have a whole lot more fun fishing from the boat.

Just found out...
I also got it my senior year in HS. I lost about 25 lbs over a week. About 3 days after feeling better from the mono I got Strep Thoat and was down for another 4 days. I was playing basketball at the time and I ended up having to quit sports until baseball season started. It was the worst week of my life having mono. I do remember being really tired during school. To the point where I had to sleep or I would fall out.

Stick Marsh/Farm 13
Keep the Stick Marsh reports coming. I have fished the Marsh about 8 times and wish I could get down there more often, but with gas prices the way they are I can't afford to spend $100+ fishing the world famous stick marsh.

Crawfish Lures in Florida
How many people in the Florida use soft plastic crawfish lures? Honestly until recently I didn't know we had crawfish in Florida. My buddy caught one in a minnow net and then I caught about 5 yesterday while catching minnows. So naturally I went out and bought a pack of crawfish. If you do fish crawfish in Florida how well do they produce for you.

Anyone else want their money back from "The Happening"?
That is disappionting, I thought the previews for that movie looked pretty good and an interesting plot. I guess I'll wait to see it until it comes out on DVD and I cvan get it from netflix.

Warranty on BPS Johnny Morris rods?
I have taken some stuff back there without receipts and have had no problems. They will usually just give you the same model for that year that they have in stock. My friend just took back a Rick Clunn BPS reel that was at least 3 years old and they just gave him a new one and he didn't have a receipt. I would also assume that it depends on the people that work at your BPS and the type of mood they are in that day.

What ever happened to EVA foam grips??
Most if not all offshore rods use eva foam grips. I don't think I have ever seen one use cork, though I'm sure there are some. The foam has to be a comfort thing.

rick clunn reel
If you can't throw a 3/8 oz lure with that reel it is probably set up incorrectly. 3/8 oz is pretty heavy. A lot of spinnerbaits are 3/8 oz.

Setting the hook
Position the butt of your rod about 4 inches above your belly button and the hook quick and hard. Give these fish the BUSINESS. When I am throwing soft plastics I always set the hook with a lot of force. I rarely ever loose a fish when fishing a soft plastic. Be quicker and use more force and you should have a much higher hook up ratio.
