"Extremely" satisfied
I have an extreme that is at least 4 years old probably more like 6 I can't remember, and it fishes like the day I bought it. I don't fish everyday, but I usually fish about 40 times a year. I currently have 4 extreme reels, one quantum, and one shimano. The extremes are my favorite reels.

Help with trolling motor
It is most likely the speed control module. It is an easy fix, but get it replaced under warranty unless you have to pay for shipping just take it to a local repair shop.

It is a private lake. Lake Winnemisette in Deland, FL. It is an almost 200 acre lake, and is very clear.

Sunday Morning in Florida
Yeah it was nice. What is even nicer is I can see the lake from my front door, and I don't have to load my jon boat into my truck I can carry it to the lake. I can get up 15 minutes before I'm on the water. I should be going out again on Tuesday when I get my Spro BBZ-1 Shad to try it out. I am probably only going to bring one pole and throw this thing the whole time.

Sunday Morning in Florida
The morning started off a chilly one for October in FL. I think the temperature when i got up was 59 degrees a little chilly. My friends showed up at my house around 6:30 and we carried the Jon Boats down to the lake. We all started throwing topwater and had the first bass in about 10 minutes. The day in general was slow but we got two nice fish later on in the day. All in all it was a good day. A little windy and chilly but catching these two nice bass are defenitely worth it. This fish is about 4.5

DVD Burn software?
Yeah it depends on the compression but if you just use DL DVD's you can get the same quality as the dvd you copy it from.

Physics question
Part of what LBH said is true. But you have to think of all the other stuff in the plane. Engine, all the wires in the plane that the model doesn't have deats controls, all add to the weight of the actual plane, none of which is in the model.

Motor Guide trolling motor - cutting in and out, help!
check the speed control knob. I had a transom mount great white that has gone through two of these. I would work intermittenly until I replaced this part.

All in-one-tool or ?
I use a leatherman mulit tool everytime I fish. Most come with a sheath that will attach to your belt. I take this one step further and have attached a stretchy shoe strint (the kind that curls) and tied a clip on each end. I attach one side to my belt loop and the other end to the pliers. I never have to worry about my pliers falling in the water.

DVD Burn software?
I used to use DVD shrink and it would do all the work. Shrink to fit on a single layer dvd and burn the dvd. I use DVD Fab now and it works great, but DVD shrink is free and works great also.

DVD Burn software?

Your Favorite Rat Trap Bait
My personal favorite is the Berkley Frenzy Trap and the Red Eye Shad. I can't even count the number of fish I have caught on the Berkley Frenzy.

Awesome Flea Market Find
Today I was at the Flea Market and I found a diamond in the rough. I found a Shimano Stradic 4000 FE. It is a little rough around the edges and probably needs a few parts but I got this reel for $5.00. I think that is an awesome deal. Here is a list of the parts I think it will need. RD 7987 - Bail Assembly RD 7988 - Drive Gear RD 7801 - Ball Bearing RD 7991 - Handle Screw Cap I'll post some pics later. I already took it apart and cleaned and lubed it and put it back together. Something is wrong with the bail, it is hard to click over even by hand. The drive gear seems to have some corrosion and it seems like the bearing is permanently attached to the drive gear so i'm going to replace those. and i'm replacing the handle screw cap just for good measure. Anything else I should be replacin on this reel. All the gears inside look great with the exception of the main gear. How much will all these parts run me.

Snake Identification
I think it had just gotten run over probably less than 5 minutes before I came across it. I was walking my dog and was actually on my way back and I didn't see the snake the first time I passed this spot. I grabbed a stick to move it and when I gave it a good nudge it started twirling like an alligator will (death roll) and then it stopped and didn't move again. This snake was very close to water. It is a very pretty snake.

Snake Identification
I found this snake on the side of the road today. I wasn't completely dead yet but had been run over. I was wondering what kind of snake this is. Here are some pictures.

Transporting Fish
get a cooler and put them in the cooler. Drill a hole through the top of the cooler and use one of the battery powered aerators. I use this method for tournament fishing and it works really well. I haven't killed a fish yet.

Linux vs. Windows
I bought a Laptop about 9 months ago. It is a Dell Inspiron 1521, with a dual core processor and 2 gigs of ram and a 250gb hard drive installed with windows vista. I have a computer degree and I have had no problems with the computer at all. Every program I have tried to run on the computer has been fine. I have had no problems at all. I still prefer windows xp just because of the learning curve. Certain things are different in Vista but if you are somewhat computer literate you can get the hang of it. Do not upgrade to vista buy a computer that is comes preinstalled on. I don't have much experience with linux, but for the normal everyday user, Linux is not the way to go. If you want to try Linux, download and install it on a virtual machine from VMWare, that way you can try it out and see if you like it.

I got the hummingbird 535pt unit for like $200 a couple years ago and it is a pretty good depth finder. I have had no problems with it except the suction cup on it sucks.

My New Fishing Hole
This lake is awesome. I believe it used to be a spring fed lake. I think the spring has dried up but i'm not sure. I have fished this lake many times in the past before the homeowners were so strict on lake access. I haven't fished it in a couple of years, but the last time I fished it, I caught a 5lb Largemouth. Another plus about this lake is that it is awesome for swimming. The water is superclear and there are a ton of bass.
