  1. I used to do the first trick with the basketball off the wall in high school all the time. It is actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
  2. You needs to use a 6/0 - 8/0 wide gap weighted hook. The weight helps keep the center of gravity for the bait.
  3. Volvo's last forever as you know with a car with 309,000 miles. Look at their new suv's.
  4. I see where you are coming from and no my paycheck hasn't increased 6 fold, but you could also look at it from the opposite end of the spectrum. In 1947 Oil was $20 per barrel, and a 13oz box of Kelloggs Corn Flakes cost 17 cents. Today a 12oz box of Kelloggs Corn Flakes cost $2.99. That is 17 times higher than the price in 1947. The real problem with the price of oil today is that the price didn't increase proportionately with the price of all other consumer products. If the price of oil had gradually increased since 1947 nobody would be talking about how high gas prices are today. I agree the prices are absolutely ridiculous how much the price has gone up just since I started driving 9 years ago. When I was 16 I could buy a gallon of gas for 99 cents. It has increased 4 times the price in 9 years. All I am saying is the price of gas should have increased gradually over time. It is really getting to us now because of how fast the price has increased. That is my two cents. I hate filling up for $100 but if I want a roof over my head I guess i'll have to suck it up and make sacrafices else where.
  5. Yes they are very helpful for finding bottom structure. I recently moved to a new area and started fishing some electric only lakes and without my depth finder I never would have found the huge hump in the middle of this lake that fish hold on. The hump goes from about 20ft to 14ft in a very short distance.
  6. We should all move to venezuela it is only 19 cents a gallon there.
  7. Maybe this is a stupid question but didn't you water test your boats before buying them? Or does the dealer just have one boat to test and then you buy a showroom boat. Just curious.
  8. HPBB thanks for the information. I never did hear back from the guy that was selling this boat and it is no longer listed on craigslist so I am assuming he sold it already. The boat was listed on 5/29 and I emailed the guy that night and called the following and day and no response. I think this was probably a really good deal. All he wanted for the boat was $1100. I wish I would have at least gotten a chance to look at it.
  9. Looking at that boat makes me salivate. I have been looking for a boat like that for about 2 months now. I would kill to find a boat like that.
  10. We have some young kids in our boat club and we have no problem with them at all. We actually had some kids that were too young to drive a vehicle so their parents had to launch for them. I believe in the more people the better. I would recommend that anyone under the age of either 18 or 21 be required to have a boaters license.
  11. After you head out of the canal piling head east and fish that shore line. you will some good vegetation. Also if you head west out of the pilings you will find a couple of spring fed creeks these have some good fishing in them too. There are some really big bass in Lake George.
  12. this would my suggestion too. I have kind of the same problem with my boat. My winch strap is over top of the stop and the eye goes over the stop so it is difficult to get off but if you get the boat in the water enough you can just lift up the bow and push a little bit and it will come off.
  13. I don't know you need an rma. My buddy sent in a Diawa Procaster like 6 months after he bought it (the reel seat broke) and he never heard from them again.
  14. I was searching on craigslist today for boats and I came acorss a Sea Nymph boat the is 17' and is a bass style boat. It is mod v and looks a lot like a tracker. I'm not sure of the year yet, I emailed the guy and he hasn't emailed me back yet. I went on iBoats and found that Sea Nymph did make bass style boats. So I searched google and all I could find on Sea Nymph are the boats that Lowe makes. Does anyone have any information on Sea Nymph. Were they bought by Brunswick boat company? Are they still around today? Has anyone ever fished out of a Sea Nymph bass style boat? Here is a picture.
  15. Be very wary of Grumman leaky rivets. I think you can find something that doesn't leak for close to that price. I would keep looking. Yes leaky rivets can be fixed but they are also a pain in the ***, especially on grummans. Those things have thousands of rivets in them. Personally I would keep looking.
  16. I would probably file charges against the company and sue for damages to the property and the loss of the trees. Force the company to pay a fence person to fix fence, someone to fix property. Make then them pay for a stump grinder, and then make them pay to replace the trees at least, even though they won't be the same size trees. These guys ruined your piece of property and they should have to pay to return the property to original state or as close to original state.
  17. for that price you should look the 12' Jon Boats from Bass Pro Shops. The 1232 jon is $604 and the 1032 is $554. Much better option in my opinion. www.trackerboats.com
  18. If you have a Gander Mountain nearby go and get a Guide Series GST35 for about $40.00. These are the same as the Pflueger Presidente (I think) someone correct me if I am wrong. As for rods, if I wanted somethin cheap but durable go with a berkley lightning rod. You can get these at walmart for like $35. total cost under $100 and a very durable set up. You will like this. The reel is unbelievably smooth.
  19. I have to agree the Bass Pro Extreme Reels are bulletproof. I have had one for the last 6 years probably and have never had any problems with it. Right now I have 5 Extreme Baitcast reels and have never had a problem with any of them. They are smooth and reliable. I trust they are going to work everytime I go fishing. There is one other reel in the price range that I think is almost as good of a deal. The Abu Garcia Silver Max and Pro Max. I honestly don't think I would ever pay more than $100 for a just a reel. Not because I can't afford but because they aren't worth it. I have fished upper end shimano and quantum reels and I'm just not impressed that they are worth that much more.
  20. As long as both phones take a sim card and are from the same network then you have a 99% chance that the old sim card will work. Although there is a chance that the technology has changed and the the new phone will need an upgraded sim card. I know with some old AT&T (Cingular) phones won't take the new 128k sim cards, but most likely you will be ok. Make sure you charge the phone completely before first use.
  21. if lake louise you are talking about is in deltona, fl then you might be dissapionted. The water level is really low. Good luck tho.
  22. With the phone on take the battery out. This will do a hard reset and may fix your problems. I have to do this fairly frequently with the smart phones we have here at work. If that doesn't work try calling the phone and see what happens. Last resort call customer service.
  23. I"m not sure what kind of fishing you enjoy but to me Power Fishing is way more fun than fishing s l o w. Try throwing some topwater lures (zara spook), crankbaits, spinnerbaits, rattletraps, hard jerk bats, soft jerk baits (texas rigged with no weight) and senkos fished like a jerkbait.
  24. Use higher lb. test line. Maybe it is just a florida thing but the lowest lb test I have on any of my reels is 14lb.
  25. I have before depends on what you are looking for. PM with details.
